Este trabalho teve como objetivo verificar o perfil das publicações científicas em Ciências Contábeis, por meio de levantamento nos anais do Simpósio de Excelência em Gestão e Tecnologia (SEGeT) de 2004 a 2017. Além disso, visou-se mapear a classificação dos anais nas áreas temáticas, o perfil dos pesquisadores, verificando o sexo, autores mais prolíferos, instituição, Unidade de Federação de ensino de vinculação e produtividade e compreender a tipologia referencial utilizada, bem como a frequência metodológica de cada publicação. Para tanto, foi delineada quanto aos objetivos da pesquisa como descritiva, por meio de uma análise exploratória, quanto à abordagem do problema teve caráter quantitativo e qualitativo. O levantamento de dados se deu por meio de informações oriundas dos cerca de dez mil artigos pertencentes aos anais do simpósio, sendo que 396 apresentaram uma ou mais publicações sobre o tema contabilidade. Observou-se predominância de artigos publicados em parceria, sobretudo com cinco ou três autores; a Universidade Federal de São João del-Rei – UFSJ – citada 153 vezes, foi a instituição de ensino superior mais produtiva.Palavras chave: Bibliometria - SEGeT - Contábil – Contabilidade
