This study addresses the difficulty of searching for information on digital platforms of cultural collections and is organized in two parts, one of a theoretical nature, where a bibliographic research was carried out on digital cultural heritage and experience design and one of a practical order, where a semi-structured interview with real users of a platform was applied. The interview sought to identify the users' points of view, feelings, desires and perceptions about the information search task. As a case study, the access platform to the historical archives of the Oswaldo Cruz Foundation was used. As a result, it was identified that what impacts the user experience is the difficulty in understanding the operation of the tool and the organization of information, the lack of perception of the size of the material available, the screens's layout and the use of specialized language.
