En este trabajo, nos interesa analizar la articulación entre los cuatro sentidos de causa sistematizados en Física II.3 y la noción de generación desarrollada en Física I.7. Con este objetivo, dividiremos el trabajo en dos partes. En la primera, realizaremos un esbozo de la noción de causa, presentando esquemáticamente las principales líneas interpretativas sobre la cuestión. En la segunda parte, analizaremos los cuatro sentidos de causa –material, formal, motriz y final–, desplegados en Física II.3, a la luz de su relación con las nociones de “generación” (Física I.7) y de “naturaleza” (Física II.1) y, por lo tanto, en conexión con los tres principios: materia, forma y privación (Física I.7).
En el presente trabajo, nos centraremos en el análisis de las críticas a Parménides y Meliso realizadas en el fragmento 9 de Sobre la filosofía. Creemos que este fragmento es un testimonio relativamente sólido de que en esta obra Aristóteles habría intentado indagar en torno a uno de los principios de lo real: la phýsis, presentando las problemáticas que su negación presupone. Para realizar nuestro análisis, dividiremos el trabajo en dos partes. En la primera, examinaremos el contexto en el cual aparece citado el fragmento 9 de Sobre la filosofía y la fuente por la cual nos ha llegado: Sexto Empírico. En la segunda parte, nos centraremos en las estrategias argumentativas que Aristóteles habría implementado para desarrollar las tesis presentadas en el fragmento en cuestión.
rEsumEn: El objetivo de este trabajo es analizar el fragmento 48 del Protréptico teniendo como telón de fondo alguna de las críticas que Aristóteles presentó contra los principios platónicos en Sobre las Ideas. Creemos que, si bien el fragmento 48 del Protréptico tiene cierta reminiscencia platónica, su lectura, a la luz de Sobre las Ideas, nos permite sostener que, de haber defendido la teoría platónica de las Ideas en el primer escrito, Aristóteles habría caído en una inconsistencia, pues estaría expuesto a las mismas críticas que realiza contra esos principios en obras relativamente contemporáneas. Por otra parte, consideramos que quienes persisten en creer que el fragmento 48 del Protréptico es un testimonio de que Aristóteles defendió tal teoría incurren en la misma crítica que el estagirita realiza contra los platónicos en el argumento a partir de la ciencia de Sobre las Ideas, pues afirman más de lo que el texto permite concluir. En el presente trabajo, nos interesa establecer la posible influencia de Sócrates en la dialéctica aristotélica. Para ello, dividiremos el trabajo en tres secciones. En la primera, de forma muy escueta nos centraremos en la problemática de la reconstrucción aristotélica del pensamiento de Sócrates. En la segunda parte, analizaremos algunos aspectos del llamado método socrático. Finalmente, en la tercera sección, examinaremos qué aspectos de ese método podría haber heredado Aristóteles. Nuestra tesis es que la dialéctica aristotélica tiene reminiscencias socráticas que nos permiten hablar de una herencia socrática.
El objetivo de este trabajo es analizar la relación entre la concepción de la sabiduría y el uso de metáforas lumínicas presentes en los fragmentos 8b y 8c de Sobre la filosofía. Al hacer esto, nos interesa establecer si el uso de esta metáfora responde a la utilización que Aristóteles hace de términos perceptuales en otras obras, como la Física, la Metafísica, Sobre el alma y el Protréptico. El objetivo de este análisis es examinar si, al hacer uso de la metáfora lumínica en estos fragmentos, Aristóteles supone la distinción entre “lo más más conocido en sí” y “lo más conocido para nosotros”, presentada en las obras arriba mencionadas como “lo más claro en sí” y “lo más claro para nosotros”, esto es, en términos perceptuales.
