INTRODUÇÃOA Unidade de Terapia Intensiva (UTI) tem sido caracterizada como um ambiente complexo, decorrente do uso crescente da tecnologia que visa atender melhor o paciente. O tratamento implantado nesse ambiente é considerado agressivo e invasivo, traduzindo-se poruma alta intensidade e complexidade de eventos e situações.
