The nurse needs to have an integral vision of the patient, being necessary to include the patient’s companion in this process. Therefore, this research aims to evaluate the RRR contribution for the nursing, the patient and the companion in emergency service. Thus, an integrative review was carried out, in which nine articles from different databases were selected. The studies covered six themes: knowlegde about RRR; satisfaction in relation to nurse’s care towards the patient; waiting time; communication among the nurse-patient-companion; reassessment of the initial clinical signs by the professional; physical structure and resource materials. The results showed that care quality is based on the knowledge and technical-scientific competence, but also on the relationship amongthe members involved. Therefore, a bond was estabilished among the nurse, the patient and the companion towards the search of health promotion and recovery. Keywords: Emergency Medical Services. Nursing Professional Role.
