The leadership style of a nurse manager has an important role in determining the performance of her staff. An effective leader can bring success in achieving the vision and mission of the hospital. The field study of leadership style in the hospital is one of the efforts to find an overview of the application of effective leadership styles. The method used was literature study which was supported by the results of visit; data collection was carried out usinginterview techniques and observation of leadership style. The results of the field study showed that there were still nurses who were not committed to the team, high workloads and head nurse’s span of control. Thus, the head nurse is required to use a combination of democratic and authoritarian leadership styles to overcome weaknesses and threats that occur in the ward.
Konflik merupakan perselisihan baik internal maupun eksternal yang terjadi karena perbedaan sudut pandang dalam sebuah hubungan interpersional. Perawat professional dituntut untuk memiliki keahlian dalam manajemen konflik khususnya teknik asertif sebagai pencegahan terjadinya konflik dan menangani konflik secara efektif. Perilaku asertif merupakan kemampuan untuk berkomunikasi secara tegas dan jujur dengan cara yang tepat sehingga tidak menyakiti diri sendiri maupun orang lain. Pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk peningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan perawat dalam menerapkan manajemen konflik dan teknik asertif. Metode pelaksanaan terdiri dari survei, analisis PICOT, dan penyuluhan pada sekelompok perawat. Seminar penyuluhan ini melibatkan 75 peserta perawat. Hasil analisis data didapatkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan pengetahuan pengetahua perawat dari hasil kuesioner pre dan post kegiatan. Kesimpulan dari pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah pentingnya melatih teknik asertif pada individu perawat sebagai kemampuan untuk manajemen konflik dalam pelayanan keperawatan.
ABSTRACT Background: Electronic health record is an electronic record of health-related information that includes patient information such as biodata, medical history, allergy history, test results, and all important care information used in the implementation of Nursing Handover. Objective: This study aims to find out more about the experience of nurses in applying electronic health records during handovers in hospitals. Design: This study uses a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach using the colaizzi method. Sampling using purposive sampling with the number of participants 8 people. Data collection by means of focus group discussions. Results: This study resulted in four main themes: (1) Nurses' understanding of handovers using an electronic format, (2) Advantages of using electronic health records, namely convenience, clarity, security and minimizing errors, (3) Negative and positive experiences of using electronic health records ( 4) Electronic health record constraints in handover. Conclusion: The use of electronic health record applications at the time of handover can minimize communication errors and can improve patient safety in hospitals. The use of social media is increasing, including in the world of nursing. Nurses use social media in all domains of practice, enabling nurses to connect with colleagues and share information. Social media is also used at the organizational level and at the individual level to communicate with other nurses. The purpose of this study was to explore the experience of nurses in social media at Eka Hospital. This research is a qualitative phenomenological study conducted by in-depth interviews with eight informants obtained by purposive sampling. Transcription was analyzed using colaizzi analysis to identify categories and themes. The results of the study obtained three themes, namely, an overview of the use of social media in nurses, the advantages and disadvantages of using social media in the health sector, and ethics in using social media in the health sector. It is hoped that the results of the study will be useful for nurses to use social media appropriately.
Pelayanan yang berpusat kepada pasien merupakan inti dari mutu pelayanan kesehatan di rumah sakit. Perawat memiliki peran penting dalam menjaga mutu kualitas asuhan pelayanan bagi pasien. Perawat Penanggung Jawab Asuhan (PPJA) harus memiliki kompetensi yang unggul agar dapat memberikan asuhan terbaik selama 24 jam bagi pasien. Pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan perawat tentang konsep PCC dan peran PPJA. Metode yang digunakan dalam pengabdian masyarakat antara lain metode ceramah, tanya jawab dan pemodelan. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini dilakukan melalui Zoom CloudMeeting serta melibatkan 227 perawat dari beberapa rumah sakit. Melalui kegiatan abdimas ini diharapkan perawat PPJA mampu menerapkan asuhan keperawatan yang berpusat kepada pasien sehingga mutu layanan keperawatan semakin meningkat.Kata kunci: Mutu Keperawatan; Patient Centered Care; Perawat Penanggung Jawab Asuhan AbstractPatient-Centered Care (PCC) is the core of the quality of health services in hospital. Nurseshave an important role in maintaining the quality of service care for patients. Primary Nurseof care must have superior competence in order to provide the best 24 hour care for patients.This community service aims to increase nurse’s knowledge about the PCC concept and therole of Nurse in Charge. The methods used in community service include lecture, question andanswer and modelling methods. This community service though Zoom Cloud Meetings andinvolved 277 nurses from several hospital in Indonesia.
