Embora exista uma alta demanda por profissionais de informática e um esforço por parte da academia e do mercado, a porcentagem de mulheres em cursos de Tecnologia da Informação (TI) ainda vem se mostrando baixa. Pesquisadores da área vêm tentando mapear quais são as principais causas desse fato e quais ações poderiam contribuir para o aumento de mulheres na TI. Diante desse cenário, o objetivo deste artigo foi responder, através de uma revisão sistemática, as seguintes perguntas de pesquisa: Para as mulheres, quais fatores impedem a escolha do curso de TI e Quais ações podem ser realizadas para reverter esse cenário. Finalizado o trabalho, os resultados coletados apontam para a existência de estereótipos de gênero, a falta de informações sobre a área e a falta de incentivo familiar como as principais causas ofensoras. Como ações de melhorias, os estudos apontam a realização de palestras e de minicursos em escolas de nível médio e fundamental, a criação de projetos para inserção de mulheres na TI, bem como a maior divulgação dos feitos realizados pelo público feminino nessa área. Para trabalhos futuros, é sugerido o uso de novas bases de conhecimento, além da reaplicação do protocolo de revisão criado por este artigo.
