Recently, numerous web-based applications with attractive user interface, brand-new and advanced features, and friendly operation are rapidly developed and widely used, particularly in education context. This study aims to produce web-based learning media that are feasible for delivering materials of web programming subject. The course material of this subject is Hypertext Markup Language (HTML).This study is located at Manado State University, at the study program of information and communication technology. The method of this study employs the research and development model. The data were obtained by four questionnaires, including (1) the feasibility testing by the lecturer, (2) the media expert feasibility testing, (3) the materials expert feasibility testing, and (4) the students’ feasibility testing. Based on the experimental results, it can be stated that the developed web learning is considered useful. It can be concluded that the web-based learning media is feasible to be used and effectively improve the quality of learning.
Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan media pembelajaran yang bertujuan untuk menghasilkan media pembelajaran pada materi jaringan komputer yang diharakan dapat membantu guru maupun siswa dalam proses belajar mengajar. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan menggunakan metode pengembangan Multimedia Development Life Cycle (MDLC). Dalam metode ini terdapat 6 (enam) tahapan yaitu: (1) Concept, (2) Design, (3) Obtaining Content Material, (4) Assembly, (5) Testing, (6) Distribution. Pada tahap testing ini atau tahap pengujian terdapat empat bentuk uji coba yaitu Developer test, Ahli Media, Ahli Meteri dan End-User Test. Dari penelitian yang dilakukan memperoleh hasil yang baik dan dari hasil tersebut peneliti mengambil kesimpulan bahwa aplikasi media pembelajaran komputer dan jaringan dasar sudah sesuai dengan tujuan penelitian dan layak untuk digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran.
This study aims to produce a decent web learning product as a medium for delivering web programming courses for students at the Education and Information Technology Education study program at Engineering Faculty, Manado State University. This is a Research and Development type of research with reference to the model developed by Borg and Gall (1983). The product in the form of software was validated by one instructional material expert and one media expert each before being tested to the students. The pilot comprises four students in individual trial sessions 12 students in small group trials, and 30 students in large group field trials. Three questionnaires were used to collect data: firstly, the media expert feasibility test, secondly, the material expert feasibility test, and thirdly, the student feasibility test. Based on the results of the assessment of both material and media experts and students, it can be stated that the web learning developed was perceived as useful. Furthermore, it can be concluded that web learning which is developed effectively might improve the quality of web programming courses.
