Dryopteris filix-mas (L.) Schott, Polypodiaceae, Flavan, Dihydrocoumarin, Lactone From acetone extracts of fresh aerial parts of Dryopteris filix-mas (L.) Schott a flavan-3-ol was isolated. Its structure was elucidated as 5-(3,4-dihydroxyphenyl)-3,3a,4,5-tetrahydro-4,8-dihydro-xy-2H-pyrano[4,3,2-ife]-l-benzopyran-2-one by means of spectroscopic methods including l3C-NMR.
From methanolic extracts of fresh aerial parts of Phyllitis scolopendrium (L.) Newm. a new flavonoid, kaemp ferol 3-O-β-{(4-O-caffeyl-3-O-β-glucosyl)-glucoside}-7-O-rhamnoside, was isolated and the structure determined by means of spectroscopic methods including 13C-NMR, and enzymatic hydrolysis.
From acetone extracts of fresh aerial parts o f Polypodium vulgare L. 9 phenolic compounds were isolated. Two of them, catechin 7-O-ᴅ-apioside and kaempferol 3-O-(4 or 5-rhamnosyl) arabinoside, were found for the first time in nature. Furthermore it was shown that polydine is catechin, 7-O-α-ʟ-arabinofuranoside. The other components were rutin, hyperin, kaempferol- 3-O-glucoside and -arabinoside-7-O-rhamnoside and the C-glycosides schaftoside and isoschaftoside.
