En este artículo de investigación se revisan las perspectivas teóricas, técnicas y filosóficas de la salud mental, considerando las semejanzas entre el escenario del conflicto armado en Colombia y el aislamiento social ocasionado por la pandemia de la covid-19. Metodológicamente, se aplica la referencia cruzada en un artículo de la profesora Hernández Holguín del cual se seleccionan 10 documentos; se agrega información de sitios web de instituciones gubernamentales encargadas de la salud mental y la covid-19 en Colombia. Prepondera el análisis temático para debatir y validar en plenaria las interpretaciones y los hallazgos, en los cuales se evidencia que los desarrollos conceptuales de la salud mental son complementarios, destacándose entre ellos el énfasis en las relaciones sociales como dimensión de la salud mental propuesto por Martín Baró. Se concluye que es necesario promover en los mensajes oficiales sobre el cuidado de la salud mental en tiempos de pandemia las comprensiones de la salud mental centradas en los vínculos sociales y su resignificación en la vida cotidiana.
El objetivo de este estudio es describir la percepción sobre la imagen corporal de universitarios de la ciudad de Medellín. Para ello, se realizó una investigación de tipo descriptivo con un diseño transversal y se contó con una muestra de 452 estudiantes (123 hombres y 329 mujeres) de las diferentes facultadas de la Universidad Católica Luis Amigó a quienes se les aplicó el Cuestionario Multidimensional sobre la Imagen Corporal (MBSRQ) (Ribas, Botella y Benito, 2008) el cual evalúa 4 componentes de la imagen corporal: (1) importancia subjetiva de la corporalidad (ISC); conductas orientadas a mantener la forma física (COMF); (3) atractivo físico autoevaluado (AFA); y (4) cuidado del aspecto físico (CAF). Como principales resultados se encontró que las personas suelen considerar importante la realización de conductas para mantenerse en forma, pero esto no se relaciona con la valoración sobre el atractivo físico percibido. Así mismo, se evidenció que las personas que valoran positivamente el cuidado del aspecto físico, también le otorgan importancia a la corporalidad y al desarrollo de conductas que les permitan mantener adecuadamente su aspecto físico.
La pandemia del COVID-19 ha generado diversas problemáticas que han modificado las dinámicas de relación y percepción del entorno. Los impactos producidos en las instituciones educativas tanto públicas como privadas no son la excepción, dados los cambios en la representación de este espacio por parte de estudiantes, profesores y la comunidad educativa en general. Esta investigación tuvo como objetivo comprender la representación espacial de la institución educativa y del espacio de estudio de la virtualidad de los estudiantes de secundaria del Colegio La Salle Envigado tras la emergencia del COVID-19. La metodología se basó en el enfoque cualitativo, con método fenomenológico y se llevó a cabo con 11 estudiantes de esta institución; como técnicas de recolección de información se usó la entrevista semiestructurada, la cartografía social y la observación no participante como técnica transversal. En suma, se afirma que dicha representación está construida con base en la calidad del aprendizaje, las dinámicas de relacionamiento, los beneficios y comodidades que puede dar el espacio, y las prácticas que pueden ser o no posibles considerando las condiciones que impuso la emergencia sanitaria. Finalmente, se discuten las implicaciones del espacio institucional y virtual en cuanto a la metodología de enseñanza-aprendizaje, la apropiación y las dinámicas socioespaciales escolares.
