Ten samples of submerged mixed leaves were collected monthly from March 2007 to June 2009 on the margins of five sites in three lakesat Parque Municipal do Ibirapuera, São Paulo, São Paulo State, Brazil. Twenty-seven fungal taxa were obtained, being 15 ingoldianand 12 facultatives, with predominance of Lunulospora curvula Ingold, Triscelophorus monosporus Ingold, Tripospermum myrtii (Lind.) S. J. Hughes, Anguillospora longissima (Sacc. et Syd.) Ingold, and Triscelophorus acuminatus Nawawi. ANOSIM analysis revealed that samples taken from several collection sites in different seasons presented more differences than collection sites sampled in the same season. In the Parque Municipal da Aclimação, submerged mixed leaf litter samples were monthly collected from March 2007 to June 2009 at three sites of a lake where some abiotic variables were measured. In the laboratory, the leaves were washed, fragmented into aliquots (1 cm 2 ), incubated in sterile distilled water for 30 days at 22 o C, and prepared on slides to be microscopically analyzed. Based on morphological characteristics, 26 fungal taxa were identified, being 16 ingoldian fungi with predominance of Lunulospora curvula Ingold, Triscelophorus monosporus Ingold, and Tripospermum myrti (Lind.) S. Hughes, and 10 facultative fungi, with Cylindrocladium scoparium Morgan, Endophragmiella sp., and Beltrania rhombica Penz as the most common taxa. The number of fungal taxa was not very different in the comparison of the main climatic seasons, but was higher at the sites next to the exit of the water treated by flotation than at a site where a more intense monitoring of the water quality becomes recommendable. During a study about fungal succession in submerged leaf litter in Parque Municipal Alfredo Volpi, São Paulo, SP, a new species of Pyramidospora and two new records of Triscelophorus acuminatus Nawawi and Blodgetia indica Subram. were found. They were described and illustrated for the first time in Brazil.
-(Geofungi of Córrego do Sapateiro at the Parque Municipal do Ibirapuera, São Paulo, São Paulo State, Brazil). Water samples (50 mL) at 10 cm depth were collected from two sites (1 and 2), before and after flotation water treatment, during the rainy hot season (January, February, and March) and the dry cold season (June, July, and August) of 2008 in Córrego do Sapateiro at the Parque Municipal do Ibirapuera, São Paulo, São Paulo State Brazil. Temperature, dissolved oxygen, conductivity, and pH of the water were measured with a U 10 Horiba equipment. Total and fecal coliforms were analyzed with an Aquatest® kit. Aliquots of 1 mL from each water sample were inoculated on potato-dextrose agar medium, totalizing 10 Petri dishes for each collection site. Colonies were quantified after incubation for 10 days at 22 °C and then purified for identification. Water abiotic parameters did not limit the development of geofungi; however, they were influenced by the flotation treatment. Fecal and total number of coliforms were predominantly higher than 8 NMP dL -1 during the studied periods at the two sites. Twenty-seven fungal taxa, distributed in 136 occurences were obtained. According to Sörensen Similarity Index, the mycobiota of the two simpled sites were considerably different, despite the resemblance between the number of taxa and occurrences. The results indicate that treatment of water from Córrego do Sapateiro flotation system possibly causes changes in taxonomic composition and quantity of fungi CFU, whereas the total and fecal coliform results were less conclusive. No Córrego do Sapateiro, situado no Parque Municipal do Ibirapuera, na cidade de São Paulo, SP, Brasil, amostras de água (50 mL) na profundidade de 10 centímetros foram coletadas em locais antes (local 1) e depois (local 2) da estação de tratamento de flotação, durante os meses da estação chuvosa e quente (janeiro, fevereiro e março) e da estação seca e fria (junho, julho e agosto) de 2008. Além disso, a temperatura, oxigênio dissolvido, condutividade e pH da água foram medidos com um equipamento Horiba U 10 . Coliformes totais e fecais foram analisados com o kit Aquatest®. A partir de cada amostra de água, alíquotas de 1 mL foram inoculadas em meio batata-dextrose-ágar, totalizando 10 placas de Petri para cada local de coleta. Após incubação por 10 dias a 22 ºC, as colônias fúngicas foram quantificadas, purificadas e identificadas. Os parâmetros abióticos da água não foram limitantes para a presença de geofungos, sendo influenciados pelo tratamento de flotação. Nos dois locais o número de coliformes totais e fecais foi predominantemente superior a 8 NMP dL -1 durante o período estudado. The richness of ingoldian fungi, aquatic facultative fungi, and some abiotic variables were evaluated in some lakes and streams of the Parque do Carmo, in the city of São Paulo, in São Paulo State. Monthly collections of submerged mixed leaf samples were carried out from March 2007 to June 2009. Additionally, the temperature, pH, dissolved oxygen and conductivity were measured using a multi-probe. In the laboratory, leaves were washed, divided into fragments (1 cm 2 ), incubated in sterile distilled water (30 days, 22 °C) and analyzed under microscope for fungal identifi cation by means of the current literature. Thirty-fi ve fungal taxa were obtained, which were divided into 22 ingoldian fungi (more frequent in the streams), and 13 aquatic facultative fungi (more frequent in the lakes). The richness of the mycota in the dry and cold seasons was similar to that of the rainy and hot seasons, but it decreased in the dry and hot periods. The climatic season had a greater infl uence on fungal richness than the type of collection site, with positive correlations between the mycota, the temperature and the electrical conductivity of the water. The Parque do Carmo presents a considerable richness of ingoldian and aquatic facultative fungi, and offers interesting aquatic environments for studies related to the seasonal climatic infl uence on the urban aquatic mycota. A riqueza de fungos ingoldianos, fungos aquático-facultativos e algumas variáveis abióticas foram avaliadas em alguns lagos e riachos no Parque do Carmo na cidade de São Paulo, SP. Coletas mensais de folhedo misto submerso foram realizadas de março de 2007 a junho de 2009. Adicionalmente, a temperatura, pH, oxigênio dissolvido e a condutividade foram medidos com um equipamento multisonda. No laboratório, as folhas foram lavadas, divididas em fragmentos (1 cm 2 ), incubadas em água destilada esterilizada (30 dias, 22 °C) e analisadas microscopicamente para identifi cação dos táxons com base na literatura pertinente. Foram obtidos 35 táxons, divididos em 22 fungos ingoldianos, (mais frequentes nos córregos) e 13 fungos aquático-facultativos (mais frequentes nos lagos). A riqueza da micota nas épocas secas e frias foi semelhante a das épocas chuvosas e quentes, porém diminuiu nas épocas secas e quentes. O tipo de estação climática exerceu maior infl uência na riqueza de fungos do que o tipo de local de coleta, com correlações positivas entre a micota, a temperatura e a condutividade elétrica da água.
