RésuméCet article livre une réflexion sur les premiers résultats d'une enquête qui a pour contexte un séminaire de formation à l'écriture de la thèse à l'Université libre de Bruxelles. Cette enquête vise à cerner les besoins et les différents profils du public concerné, très hétérogène. On interrogera ainsi le rapport à l'écrit(ure) scientifique de ce public. La recherche-action menée vise à influer sur les pratiques enseignantes pour aider les apprentis chercheurs à dépasser une « insécurité littéracique ». Mot-clés'architecture aujourd'hui se conçoit de moins en moins sans la recherche 1 » lit-on sur le site de la jeune Faculté d'architecture de l'Université libre de Bruxelles (ULB). C'est notamment pour cette raison que, depuis l'année académique 2015-2016, un séminaire de méthodologie de la recherche, centré sur la formation à l'écriture de la thèse de doctorat 2 , a été créé dans cette Faculté. Une des autres raisons qui a présidé à la création de ce séminaire réside dans la diversité du profil des doctorants de ce programme 3 : en effet, ceux-ci constituent un public très hétérogène et le besoin d'un séminaire qui les rassemblerait tous s'est rapidement fait sentir.La Faculté d'architecture de l'ULB a donc fait appel, pour ce faire, au Centre de méthodologie universitaire et de didactique du français de l'université, qui regroupe majoritairement des enseignants spécialistes de l'analyse des discours universitaires et de la didactique du français -enseignants parmi lesquels je figure. En accord avec la cellule Recherche de la Faculté d'architecture, j'ai élaboré un séminaire de formation à l'écriture de la thèse.Ce séminaire, qui veut développer plusieurs compétences littéraciques, a pour objectif général la formation à l'écriture scientifique. Plusieurs séances consistent en un cours théorique, qui entend lancer des pistes de réflexion et se veut un support pour les discussions en séance. Les étudiants sont amenés à s'interroger notamment sur ces questions : existe-t-il un style scientifique universel ? L'écriture scientifique est-elle disciplinaire ? Est-elle variable selon la langue d'écriture ? Comment définir la thèse de doctorat en Faculté d'architecture ? Quelles contraintes pèsent sur l'écriture de la thèse ? Quelle part est laissée à la créativité ? Cette réflexion se construit autour du rapport à l'écrit des doctorants. Le séminaire implique aussi la lecture et l'analyse d'articles scientifiques rédigés tantôt par des chercheurs confirmés, tantôt par des chercheurs novices. En outre, le
Un dispositif didactique multimodal, qui met en lumière le recours aux passeurs de lecture pour engager l’étudiant débutant dans la lecture experte, est analysé au prisme des interrogations suivantes : qui sont ou pourraient être des passeurs de lecture à l’université ? Quels déclencheurs de la lecture pourraient-ils utiliser ? L’efficacité de ces leviers est-elle liée à la discipline ? Au genre discursif de l’écrit d’expert ? À l’émotion suscitée chez le lecteur ?
