Palavras-chave:Atitude frente a morte. Unidades de Terapia Intensiva. Cuidado de Enfermagem. ABSTRACTObjective: To characterize the scientific production about the performance of the nurse in the process of death / dying in an Intensive Care Unit. Methodology: Integrative literature review carried out in the Virtual Health Library: Latin American and Caribbean System of information in Health Sciences, Nursing Database and Medical Literature Analysis and Retrieval System Online, using the descriptors "Attitude towards death","Intensive Care Units" "Terminal Care" and "Nursing Care". Results and Discussion: In this study, after comparing the results found with the literature review, relevant points were observed within the various contexts analyzed, which are of great importance for this discussion. Through the literature consulted, we find that the nurse plays a fundamental role, because it is very important both in matters of bureaucracy, and in relation to the team and family of patients. Final considerations: It was evidenced from the literature that the nurses perceive this process as passage, separation and finitude, but still an unprepared is observed, thus needing to foment discussions about this subject in the academy.
ABSTRACTObjective: to know through scientific articles, to identify family actions that favor or not the practice of breastfeeding, and to discuss the importance of the family for the promotion of breastfeeding. Methods: This is a review of the literature, using databases: Latin American System and the Caries of Information in Health Sciences (LILACS) Nursing Database (BDENF) and Scientific Library Online (SCIELO) in the temporal period of 2010 to 2015, having as descriptors: breastfeeding, family, nursing and early weaning. Results: After interpretation and analysis of the articles, the following categories were defined: factors that interfere with breastfeeding, the influence of the father on breastfeeding and the influence of the family on the practice of breastfeeding. Conclusions: breastfeeding was a process easily influenced by family culture, making it necessary to develop new strategies based on the cultural context of the target population.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
