El impacto del COVID-19 en la población mundial fue tan intenso que obligó al conocimiento de la población sobre numerosos aspectos que antes no se difundían; por ello, es necesario que este conocimiento se continúe ampliando. En este caso, acerca de los factores determinantes del tránsito de la etapa pandémica a la endemicidad, entre estos factores se encuentra la vacunación y el mayor uso de medicamentos antivirales. Como conclusión se prevé la dinámica de la pandemia por el COVID-19 hacia una fase de endemia, para lo cual se debería esperar alrededor de 12 meses en que no existan brotes de COVID-19. Se determinan aspectos claves para el fomento de la educación popular en este sentido.
La investigación tiene como objetivo revisar los rasgos clínicos-epidemiológicos de la viruela del mono, las medidas preventivas y el tratamiento a seguir. Se busca demostrar los problemas sanitarios y sociales que representa a nivel mundial. La viruela del mono es considerada como una emergencia mundial, provocada por zoonosis de reservorios naturales de las selvas y bosques africanos. Se emplearon los métodos de análisis documental, e inductivo-deductivo. Los resultados de la investigación muestran los cambios que ha tenido la enfermedad en su patrón de transmisión y disminución de la inmunidad. Como conclusion se analizó los riesgos de la propagación por práctica sexual y la perpetuación en las regiones afectadas, ya que por el riesgo que representa fue declarada emergencia sanitaria.
Las vacunas son productos biológicos contra enfermedades infecciosas por estímulo- respuesta inmunitaria, con impacto preventivo sanitario. El objetivo del estudio fue caracterizar el proceso histórico de desarrollo de vacunas ante grandes procesos epidemiológicos y pandémicos con la indicación de sus principales retos sociales y tecnocientíficos. Desde el análisis documental, se trabaja con publicaciones actualizadas que presentan distintos criterios sobre tipos, mecanismos de acción, disponibilidad y nuevas proyecciones de tecnologías vacunales de carácter genéticas. De igual modo, se precisan los programas vacunales de erradicación anti-COVID-19 desarrollados, sus alcances y proyecciones. Se aporta una clasificación sobre los retos de las vacunas y la vacunación, cuya tipología incluye: los retos globales, nacionales, tecnocientíficos y éticos.
