The concept of neurosis in Gestalt therapyABSTRACT -According to the Gestalt approach, neurosis is the result of unconscious, repetitive and obsolete processes of contact interruptions, producing a distorted perception of reality, making it harder to get back to the equilibrium in the field organism-environment, and preventing the self to grow. Therefore, neurosis is a weakness of self's ego functions, resulting in a loss of the free flow between contact and avoidance, establishing a boundary's fixation in one of these two polarities. The fundamental human need that is on the basis of the development of neurosis is hunger. In this way, oral aggression, characterized by acts of biting and chewing, is an important resistance against the environmental impositions. It's the capacity to digest the food in order to be well assimilated by the body. The assimilation through chewing is essential for a healthy development of the personality. On the other hand, introjection, swallowing without chewing, is related to the development of the neurotic personality.
Therapeutic relationship and personality changeABSTRACT -In this paper, the issue about personality change during the therapeutic process is analyzes having the narcissism as a staring point of reflection. In this discussion, the ideas concerming narcissism, such as love, mirror, stranger, double and ideal ego are related to each other and to the therapeutic relationship, having some texts of Freud, Guimarães Rosa and Rubem Alves as references.Key words: therapeutic relationship, narcissism, personality change.
The original speech and the work of art: A reflection concerning the creative process ABSTRACT -Starting from Merleau-Pont's ideas about the "original speech" and based on the premises of phenomenology and existentialism, some comparative considerations are made about the creative process in the art work and in the "original speech", trying to find the similarities and vicissitudes that are inherent in these two forms of creation.Key words: original speech, creative process.
