The objective of this research is to analysis of job motivation which gives influences to the teachers’ performance of Catholic Secondary School of Municipio Dili, Timor-Leste to test and analyze the job satisfaction give the influence to the teachers’ performance. The hypothesis of this research tested using an analysis instrument, Smart-PLS 3.0. The result showed that the job motivation has a positive influence and significant to the teachers’ performance with T-statistic values is 5.993 and also, P-values are 0,000. Relationship between job satisfaction and the teacher's performance t-statistics values (0.153) and p-values (0.879), the test result showed that job satisfaction didn't give a positive influence and not significant to the teachers' performance. Relationship between leadership style and teachers' performance, T-statistics values (3.098), and P-values (0.002) showed that the leadership style of the school director gave a positive influence but not significant to the teachers' performance. This study can contribute to the government to develop the education policy which quality in Timor Leste, and plan the program of Education Ministry at the curriculum sector and the regulations. Therefore it can help the school director to understand better their function as the school director, as well as help the teachers to understand their job as educators.
Work Performance of lecturer becomes a determinant factor that gives an influence to the lecturer’s personality through the mediation of motivation. The purposes of this study as follows: (1) Test of the influence of lecturer’s personality on work achievement. (2) Test of lecturer’s personality in terms of motivation; (3) Test of lecturer’s personality in terms of work achievement; (4) Test of the impact of motivation mediation on relationship of lecturer’s personality and work achievement. The method used in this study is quantitative study through survey done for some lecturers as study correspondents in both Private and Public Institute of Higher Education in Dili. There are 1.805 total population and used Solving Formula in order to find 100 samples that become respondents. The research instrument of obtaining the data is via questionnaire that developed form previous research, that’s why there is no need to have both validation and reliability test instrument. The data analysis used SPSS and Smart-PLS 3.0 to analyze that data and hypothesis. The result shows that it does have positive relationship between the lecturer’s personality toward work achievement and it does have significant relationship between both variables. It also has positive and significant relationship between lecturer’s personality and motivation. Also, there is positive and significant relationship between variable of motivation and variable of of work achievement. Therefore, motivation can be a good mediation to influence positively and significantly of both lecturer’s personality and work achievement.
Nowadays, education continues rapidly change and develop. The development of education always become a competition with the related education competitors, especially in higher education. To achieve the better quality of education, lecturers or teachers in high education intitutions must be able to master of teaching materials, teaching methodology, and particularly ability of emotional intelligence (EI), also adaptability on teachers’ performance. This research conducted in 10 higher private education institutions in Timor-Leste. This study used survey in the questionnaire and the hypoteses were tested using Smart-PLS 3.0 tool. The result indicated that emotional intelligence has a positively significant impact on adaptability and it is shown in the t-statistic correlation value on working performances. The result also indicated that EI and adaptability have a significant effect on lecturers’ performance the T-statistic (2,575; p value 0.010). This justified that the T-statistic value must be more than 1.96 and p value must be less than 0.05. Therefore, the result showed the positive significant as the T-Statistic value are more than 1.96 and the p value less than 0.05. Furthermore, the four hypotheses were supported. Therefore, the practical implication from this research contributed to the goverment of Timor-Leste particularly the ministry of higher education instituions to provide further attention for the development of human resources, building lecturers capabilites and prefessionalism in higher private education institutions in Timor-Leste. This study also contibuted to the education institutions especially for higher private education institutions to fully pay attentions to develop their lecturers’ capabilites in order to provide better services to university students in Timor-Leste
