O objetivo deste artigo foi demonstrar os modelos de economia circular aplicados em empresas do setor têxtil com base em estudos de caso já realizados. Por meio desses estudos, desenvolver soluções de reaproveitamento dos resíduos têxteis, a fim de criar produtos com valor agregado e, dessa forma, aumentar a lucratividade e minimizar o descarte de forma inadequada e indiscriminada desses resíduos nos aterros sanitários. O método utilizado neste estudo foi o bibliográfico e o documental. Foi possível identificar os problemas ambientais ocasionados pela obtenção da matéria-prima utilizada na indústria têxtil e a poluição provocada pelo alto consumo mundial de roupas e acessórios. Como forma de nortear as pequenas confecções têxteis a incorporarem, em sua produção e cultura organizacional, práticas direcionadas à sustentabilidade empresarial e, com isso, poderem tornar o seu processo produtivo mais sistêmico, sustentável e com redução de custos, foram mencionadas ações direcionadas à circularidade dos materiais que seriam descartados, com o objetivo de substituir o modelo econômico linear de produção pelo circular. Como resultado da pesquisa, foi identificada, com a implementação da economia circular, a oportunidade de reaproveitar, em novos processos produtivos, as sobras têxteis, de reutilizar materiais que já não servem mais para o que foi proposto inicialmente, mas que poderão possuir uma nova utilidade, e a realização de parcerias com associações de coleta seletiva, a fim de minimizar o descarte indiscriminado desses resíduos sólidos, tudo, levando à vantagem competitiva das pequenas empresas têxteis, objeto do estudo.
