La construction mono-disciplinaire actuelle est-elle toujours adaptée dans un contexte social et professionnel complexe et changeant ? La discipline est un moyen de hiérarchiser des connaissances correspondant à un besoin cognitif de catégoriser pour simplifier. Cependant, on observe qu’elle ne permet pas de faire des liens entre les connaissances et de traiter des problèmes complexes indissociables de l’innovation. En se basant sur une analyse de professions issues de disciplines différentes mais collaborant étroitement, il apparaît que des problèmes d’incompréhension et de « guerre de territoire » ternissent les relations et impactent la qualité du travail. En proposant d’exploiter des territoires partagés entre les disciplines, comme zone de liberté et d’articulation entre des professions qui tendent à s’isoler, il s’agit d’apporter plus de f luidité et d’efficacité dans les relations professionnelles.
