The progress test provides the students the capacity to know their evolution following the teaching-learning progress, identifying their problems. It is believed that adherence to this test will depend on how the student understands its benefits in the learning. The aim of this study was to evaluate students' knowledge about the progress test and to evaluate the association between adherence and performance in progress test with sociodemographic and academic factors. The methodology was a cross-sectional study, by applying a structural questionnaire, evaluating the variables of students’ socio-demographic, academic factors and assessing the students’ knowledge about the test, through a questionnaire in Likert model. The study population consisted of students of four health courses of Faculdade Pernambucana de Saúde. Adherence to progress test was 84,9%, being higher among medical students. Variable “working beside studying” was associated with lower adherence to the test. Students agreed with most of the benefits statements relating to progress tests. Good adherence was identified to progress test, being higher among medical students and those who did not have a job. Therefore, students showed a positive view of the test, identifying its benefits. The variable “working beside studying” was associated with lower adherence to the test.
Objetivo: Avaliar a influência do frênulo lingual posterior no aleitamento materno de bebês. Método: Tratar-se de um estudo longitudinal, de abordagem quali-quantitativa, descritiva e analítica do tipo ensaio clínico com fonte de dados primários. A população estudada foi composta pelas díades mãe-bebê saudáveis, de ambos os sexos, assistidos no Centro de Especialidades Odontológicas do Instituto de Medicina Integral Prof. Fernando Figueira (IMIP), Recife, Pernambuco, durante o período de setembro a novembro de 2022. A coleta de dados ocorreu a partir da avaliação do frênulo lingual dos bebês, bem como de entrevista com as mães. Os bebês foram divididos em dois grupos para fins comparativos, sendo eles o grupo de bebês de frênulo lingual posterior tipo III de Coryllos (GIII) e o grupo de bebês de frênulo lingual posterior tipo IV de Coryllos (GIV). Resultados: O frênulo posterior tipo III de Coryllos foi encontrado em 65,2% dos bebês, enquanto o tipo IV, em 34,8%. Desses, 56,5% estavam em amamentação exclusiva na primeira consulta e na segunda consulta houve um aumento para 73,9%. A prevalência das mães que receberam orientações sobre a importância do aleitamento materno durante a gestação foi 52,2%. Conclusão: Ambos os grupos de bebês com frênulo lingual posterior (GIII e GIV) apresentaram dificuldades no aleitamento, sendo mais prevalentes a dificuldade de pega e dor mamária durante a amamentação. Após a consulta inicial, diante da exposição a orientações, bem como ao procedimento cirúrgico da frenotomia lingual, houve melhora no quadro geral do aleitamento em quase totalidade dos casos.
