AGRONOMIA (AGRONOMY)RESUMO: A fauna do solo é sensível as modificações no ambiente e, portanto, pode ser eficiente como indicadora de qualidade em áreas de produção de banana. O objetivo do estudo foi avaliar os efeitos da produção de banana sobre a fauna edáfica em função das diferentes práticas culturais, manejos e aspectos químicos e físicos do solo. Avaliaram-se dois bananais e uma área de mata nativa, no sul de Santa Catarina em duas épocas. Para coleta de fauna utilizou-se o método de armadilhas de queda e o monólito de solo e ainda, avaliou-se a química e física do solo. Para fauna avaliou-se a abundância e riqueza de organismos amostrados, índices de diversidade de Shannon-Wiener e Pielou e procederam-se análises multivariadas. Os grupos de destaque na coleta por armadilhas de queda nos bananais foram Collembola, Formicidae e Acari e na coleta pelo monólito de solo, os grupos Oligochaeta e Diptera (larvas). Quanto aos índices de diversidade os bananais apresentam maiores índices na última coleta pelo monólito de solo. Identificou-se relação da fauna com pH, Al +3 , Fe +3 , Zn +2 , Mg +2 , macroporosidade e densidade do solo. Conclui-se que as principais práticas culturais dos bananais relacionadas com a fauna são a calagem, adubação e disposição dos restos culturais no solo.
ResumoA reciclagem de óleo traz inúmeros benefícios para a sociedade, diminuindo vários problemas relacionados ao seu descarte, sendo que, além disso, possibilita aumentar a geração e a utilização de energia na forma de biogás através do processo de digestão anaeróbia, diminuindo a emissão de gases de efeito estufa. Por isto, neste trabalho pesquisou-se a geração de biogás através de lodo de estação de tratamento de efluentes suplementado com óleo vegetal residual (OVR). A geração de biogás ocorreu por meio de digestão anaeróbia no sistema em batelada sob condições mesofílicas (35 ºC). O experimento foi realizado inicialmente com 24 amostras divididas em quatro grupos representativos, sendo um controle (sem adição de OVR) e os demais suplementados com OVR nos percentuais 3%, 6% e 9 % do volume total das amostras (600 mL). O volume de biogás gerado foi controlado por um sistema automatizado para leitura em escala laboratorial e a qualidade do biogás medida a partir de um sensor específico para metano (CH4). Os resultados obtidos demonstraram que o OVR tem potencial para incrementar a geração de biogás, sendo que o tratamento suplementado com 9% de OVR apresentou maior incremento na geração de biogás.Palavras-chave: biodigestão anaeróbia, energias renováveis, resíduos.
RESUMO -O crescimento da suinocultura estimulou o uso de técnicas de criação animal em sistema confinado, acarretando em maior geração de dejetos com alto potencial poluidor da água, solo e do ar. O conhecimento sobre o volume de dejetos gerados é importante para fins de manejo da produção e controle ambiental e, além disso, a busca constante por melhorias na produtividade faz com que o consumo de água pelos animais também seja um fator importante a ser monitorado. Neste contexto, o presente estudo objetivou analisar o consumo de água e o volume de dejetos gerados pelos suínos nas fases creche e crescimento/terminação ao longo de 34 e 111 dias, respectivamente, analisando-se o consumo e dejetos diários e acumulados ao longo do período de estudo. Constatou-se que o consumo de água e a geração de dejetos aumentaram nas duas fases estudadas ao longo do confinamento, sendo que verificou-se associação estatisticamente significativa entre o consumo de água e o volume de dejetos gerados em ambas as fases de criação.Palavras chave: criação animal, dejetos de suínos, suinocultura. O desenvolvimento e a implantação de alternativas tecnológicas visando à geração de energia a custo reduzidopara o segmento rural podem gerar impactos positivos. Uma das alternativas tecnológicas mais promissorasdiz respeito ao aproveitamento da biomassa para geração de energia, que pode ser realizado pormeio da biodigestão anaeróbia, produzindo biogás e biofertilizante e possibilitando menores índices decontaminação decorrente da disposição inadequada dos dejetos. Neste contexto, objetivou-se avaliar, emescala laboratorial, a geração de biogás e metano utilizando substrato suíno de diferentes fases de produção(Unidade Produtora de Leitões - UPL, Creche - UC e Terminação - UT), ou substrato bovino misturado a substratosuíno de diferentes fases de produção (UPL, UC e UT). Concluiu-se que o teste em que ocorreu adiçãode substrato bovino elevou consideravelmente a geração de biogás e metano, principalmente da UnidadeProdutora de Leitões.
A geração de resíduos sólidos domésticos tem intensificado devido aos novos hábitos de consumo e ao aumento populacional, dessa forma a preocupação com o gerenciamento dos mesmos tem crescido. Nesse sentido, a caracterização gravimétrica, surge como uma importante ferramenta, pois, demostra os tipos e quantidades de resíduos coletados, valorando-os em porcentagem com relação a sua massa. O estudo caracterizou os resíduos de um grupo de 30 municípios, abrangendo cerca de 95.000 habitantes. Constatou-se que a matéria orgânica correspondia a 60,3% em peso do total de resíduos destinados a central de triagem, compostagem e disposição final, 18,2% destes resíduos eram materiais recicláveis e 21,5% rejeitos. Através do estudo, verificou-se que do total de resíduos sólidos domésticos coletados, aproximadamente 80% em peso eram passíveis de reaproveitamento.
