Objective:To analyze the social representations of the Nursing Technicians and Community Health Agents about domestic violence against women. Method: A qualitative study carried out in the city of Rio Grande, RS, in which evocations and interviews were collected between July and November 2013. For the treatment of data were used the EVOC 2005 software and the context analysis. Results: It is a structured representation, in which the central nucleus contains conceptual, imaging and attitudinal elements, namely: abuse, aggression, physical aggression, cowardice and lack of respect. Such terms were present in the context of the interviews. The professionals acknowledged that violence is not limited to physical aspects and were judgemental about the acts of the aggressor. Conclusion: This knowledge may enable the problematization of the studied phenomenon with the team, and facilitate the search for prevention and intervention strategies for victims, offenders and managers of health services.
Objective: to analyze the representations about domestic violence against women, among health professionals of Family Health Units. Method: qualitative study based on the Theory of Social Representations. Data were collected by means of evocations and interviews, treating them in the Ensemble de Programmes Pemettant L'Analyse des Evocations software - EVOC and content analysis. Results: nurses, physicians, nursing technicians and community health agents participated. The evocations were answered by 201 professionals and, of these, 64 were interviewed. The central core of this representation, comprised by the terms "aggression", "physical-aggression", "cowardice" and "lack of respect", which have negative connotations and were cited by interviewees. In the contrast zone, comprised by the terms "abuse", "abuse-power", "pain", "humiliation", "impunity", "suffering", "sadness" and "violence", two subgroups were identified. The first periphery contains the terms "fear", evoked most often, followed by "revolt", "low self-esteem" and "submission", and in the second periphery "acceptance" and "professional support". Conclusion: this is a structured representation since it contains conceptual, imagetic and attitudinal elements. The subgroups were comprised by professionals working in the rural area and by those who had completed their professional training course in or after 2004. These presented a representation of violence different from the representation of the general group, although all demonstrated a negative connotation of this phenomenon.
Objetivo: identificar as vivências do familiar frente ao diagnóstico de Diabetes Mellitus na criança/adolescente. Métodos: pesquisa qualitativa, realizada com 15 familiares de crianças/adolescentes do Centro Integrado de Diabetes de um Hospital Universitário do sul do Brasil. Coletou-se os dados no primeiro semestre de 2014 por entrevistas semiestruturadas, tratadas pela análise de Conteúdo. Resultados: os familiares identificam os sinais/sintomas, mas não associados com diabetes ou confundidos com outras patologias. O diagnóstico ocorre em consultas de rotina ou quando ocorre o agravamento da situação. Os sentimentos comuns são culpa e medo, por não saber como agir. Primeiro ocorre a negação e depois a busca por conhecimento acerca da doença. Considerações Finais: ao conhecer esse processo, os profissionais de enfermagem podem contribuir para diminuir o impacto do diagnóstico, apoiando a família e criança/adolescente no enfrentamento de mudanças.
The representation has negative connotations, with discrete differentiation. The students of the final series are based on the reified knowledge and have the structured representation, with concept, image and attitude. It is hoped that the students will contribute to the prevention, identification and intervention of victims of violence.
Objetivo: identificar as dimensões representacionais da violência contra a mulher entre discentes de enfermagem. Método: estudo qualitativo fundamentado na Teoria das Representações Sociais, realizado entre agosto e novembro de 2014. Aplicou-se uma entrevista individual, com perguntas abertas, com 33 discentes de enfermagem. Utilizou-se o software Análise Lexical por Contexto de um Conjunto de Segmentos de Texto (ALCESTE) para análise lexical de conteúdo. Obteve-se aprovação do Comitê de Ética, nº 109/2014. Resultados: na dimensão conceitual, fundamentam-se no senso comum, na mídia e em situações ocorridas com pessoas próximas, ainda, evidenciaram outras formas de violência além da física. Na atitudinal, verificou-se sentimentos negativos, a impunidade do agressor, a pouca tomada de posição da vítima e os motivos da permanência em um relacionamento violento. Na imagética, os discentes representaram a violência física e a mulher, bem como as consequências psicológicas e emocionais. Conclusão: a representação dos discentes acerca da violência contra a mulher é estruturada, pois possui as três dimensões formadoras: conceito, atitude e imagem. Os resultados podem incentivar novas pesquisas, bem como instigar a discussão e problematização dessa temática em sala de aula, ponderando a futura atuação profissional na prevenção e promoção de ações de combate à violência contra a mulher.
Objetivo: conhecer como ocorre o preparo da família para o cuidado à criança com doença crônica. Metodologia: pesquisa qualitativa realizada Pediatria de um hospital universitário do sul do Brasil. Entre janeiro e dezembro de 2013 se realizou as entrevistas com 15 familiares cuidadores de crianças internadas com doenças crônicas, foram tratadas pela análise temática. Resultados: identificaram-se duas categorias, o processo de preparo da família para o cuidado à criança com doença crônica e (Re)organização familiar como preparo para o cuidar da criança com doença crônica. O preparo envolve reorganização emocional e do espaço físico. A mãe é a principal cuidadora, abre mão de suas necessidades, interferindo no relacionamento amoroso, atuação profissional e na qualidade de vida. Conclusão: cuidar de criança com doença crônica é um processo longo, difícil e árduo para a família. A enfermagem pode contribuir, dando suporte e orientações sobre as necessidades da criança e uso de tecnologias no domicilio. Descritores: Família; Criança; Doença crônica.
Objetivo: identificar a estrutura e os conteúdos da representação social do pai acerca da alimentação e do aleitamento materno exclusivo e analisar as relações estruturais entre essas representações. Método: estudo qualitativo, fundamentado na Teoria das Representações Sociais. Realizado na maternidade de um hospital universitário ao sul do país, com 54 pais. Coletaram-se os dados por evocações com os termos indutores alimentação do bebê e aleitamento materno exclusivo e entrevistas semiestruturadas. Trataram-se os dados pelo software EVOC e análise de contéudo. pesquisa aprovada com parecer nº 71/2016. Resultados: a palavra aleitamento materno figurou no núcleo central de ambos os termos indutores. Em relação ao aleitamento materno exclusivo, ainda constaram as palavras essencial e exclusivo, demonstrando o aspecto inerente à saúde. Conclusão: a representação dos pais teve como influência os significados de práticas culturais, todavia eles reconhecem o aleitamento materno além do aspecto nutricional, ou seja, valorizam a esfera afetiva dessa prática.ABSTRACTObjective: to identify the structure and content of fathers’ social representations of feeding and exclusive breastfeeding, and to analyze the structural relationships among these representations. Method: this qualitative study, based on Social Representations Theory, was conducted with 54 fathers on the maternity ward of a university hospital in south Brazil. Data collected through evocations from the stimulus-terms ‘baby feeding’ and ‘exclusive breastfeeding’, and semi-structured interviews, were treated using EVOC software and contextual analysis. The study was approved in Opinion No. 71/2016. Results: the word ‘breastfeeding’ appeared in the central nucleus of both stimulus-terms. In relation to ‘exclusive breastfeeding’, the words ‘essential’ and ‘exclusive’ were still present, demonstrating that his was inherent to health. Conclusion: fathers’ representations were influenced by the meanings of cultural practices, but they acknowledge breastfeeding beyond its nutritional aspects, that is, they value the affective dimension of this practice.RESUMEN: Objetivo: identificar la estructura y los contenidos de la representación social del padre sobre la alimentación y la lactancia materna exclusiva y analizar las relaciones estructurales entre estas representaciones. Métodos: Estudio cualitativo basado en la teoría de las representaciones sociales. Realizado en la maternidad de un hospital universitario al sur del país, con 54 padres. Se obtuvieron los datos por evocaciones con los términos inductores alimentación del bebé y lactancia materna exclusiva y entrevistas semiestructuradas. Los datos se han procesado con el software EVOC y análisis de contenido. Investigación aprobada con dictamen Nº 71/2016. Resultados: la palabra lactancia materna estaba presente en el núcleo central de ambos términos inductores. Respecto a la lactancia materna exclusiva constaron las palabras ‘esencial y exclusivo’, lo que demuestra el aspecto inherente a la salud. Conclusión: la representación de los padres tuvo la influencia de los significados de prácticas culturales, sin embargo reconocen la lactancia materna más allá del aspecto nutricional, es decir, valoran la esfera afectiva de esta práctica.
