RESUMODeterminou-se a melhor relação vitamina E:vitamina C em dietas para frangos de corte, visando ao melhor desempenho produtivo e à melhor qualidade da carne das aves submetidas ao estresse pré-abate. Utilizaram-se 800 pintos de corte, machos, distribuídos em delineamento inteiramente ao acaso, em esquema fatorial 2x4, com dois níveis de suplementação de vitamina E 0 e 250mg/kg e quatro de vitamina C 0, 150, 300 e 450mg/kg. Aos 42 dias de idade, 12 horas ante mortem, amostras de aves de cada tratamento foram submetidas ao estresse por calor e, em seguida, pelo transporte. Foram avaliadas características de desempenho peso vivo, consumo de ração e conversão alimentar , bem como rendimento de carcaça e qualidade da carne de peito e coxas perda de água, cor e pH. Os níveis de vitaminas avaliadas não influenciaram nas características de desempenho avaliadas. Houve menor rendimento de peito (34,2 vs. 34,9%) e maior pH inicial (6,3 vs. 6,1) dos cortes, para aves que sofreram estresse em relação àquelas que não foram submetidas ao estresse pré-abate.Palavras-chave: desempenho, estresse calórico, frangos de corte, perda de água, rendimento de carcaça

O controle da enterite necrótica é difícil devido ao número de fatores predisponentes envolvidos. O uso de estratégiasde regeneração da mucosa intestinal pós infecção, como probióticos, podem fortalecer o sistema imune por meioda melhora das condições da microbiota intestinal e do aumento dos mecanismos de defesa das aves. O objetivo doexperimento foi avaliar o efeito do probiótico em um modelo de infecção experimental de enterite necrótica sobreo desempenho, rendimento de carcaça, morfometria intestinal e a resposta imunológica de frangos de corte. Foramutilizados 200 pintainhos, distribuídos em um delineamento inteiramente casualizado com quatro tratamentos, sendoT1 – ração basal (controle); T2 – ração basal suplementada com o probiótico; T3 – ração basal suplementada com oprobiótico e infecção experimental; T4 – ração basal e infecção experimental, e cinco repetições de 10 aves cada. Oprotocolo de infecção consistiu na aplicação de dexametasona (colírio 2mg/mL), duas vezes ao dia (16º, 17º e 18ºdias de idade), com o objetivo de causar imunossupressão; e a inoculação de Clostridium spp. no 19º e 20º de idade.No 25º dia e no 42º, duas aves de cada repetição foram eutanasiadas e a mucosa do intestino e o soro sanguíneoforam coletados para mensuração de IgA. A suplementação de probiótico não resultou em diferença significativanos parâmetros avaliados. Nas condições em que o experimento foi realizado, conclui-se que a suplementação deprobiótico não melhora os parâmetros avaliados.
RESUMOOs aditivos a base de DFM (direct fed microbials) são microrganismos vivos utilizados para melhorar a saúde e performance dos animais. Através do uso de DFM na ração, resultados superiores na produtividade, conversão alimentar e ganho de peso tem sido relatados. A introdução de suplementos a base de DFM contribui para a modulação da microbiota e aumento na resposta imune após períodos de estresse como o desmame de leitões. O objetivo do estudo foi avaliar o desempenho animal em uma granja no oeste do Paraná, utilizando o produto a base de DFM (Bacilus subtillis; 100 g/ton) na dieta de leitões nas fases de creche (Pré 1, Pré 2, Inicial 1 e Inicial 2) em substituição a utilização de altas doses de antibióticos (amoxicilina, colistina, clortetraciclina, trimetropim e sulfametazina) na ração dos animais. Neste estudo, o aditivo proporcionou maior ganho de peso dos animais em relação ao grupo Controle (P < 0,05).
