-204Oligosiloxanes with Functional Groups.Part 11. Synthesis of Siloxanyl-and Sodium Sulfo-propoxy-α,α,ω-trihydroperfluoroalkanes.-The perfluoroalkylallyl ethers (III) are obtained by phase transfer catalysis of corresponding perfluoro alcohols and allyl chloride (II) as demonstrated for (IIIa). 3-Siloxanylpropylammonium halides can also be employed as a catalyst. The reaction of (III) with aqueous NaHSO3/ Na2SO3 solution gives the sulfonate derivatives (IV), from which (IVc) is an anionic fluoro surfactant. The siloxanyl derivatives (V) are obtained in 68-76% yield by Pt-catalyzed hydrosilylation of (III) using heptamethyltrisiloxane.-(SONNEK, G.; RABE, C.; SCHMAUCKS, G.; KADEN, R.; LEHMS, I.; J.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
