ORGANICproducts of plant or animal origin are usually analyzed for arsenic by the Gutzeit method, the material first being digested with nitric and sulfuric acids in order completely to oxidize the organic matter and place the arsenic in solution. Except for a few minor differences, which do not affect the final results, this laboratory employs the technic of the Association of Official Agricultural Chemists (1).
