The film doping with CdSe/ZnS quantum dots has been fabricated and the emission cross sections of CdSe/ZnS quantum dots have been obtained by applying the McCumber theory. With the calculated emission cross sections depending on wavelengths the emission lifetime of 1.12 ns is obtained. By comparison of the calculated lifetime and previously reported ones, we find excellent agreement between the measured and calculated ones. It has been found that the McCumber theory can still be used to calculate the emission cross sections of quantum dots with discrete energy level structure.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
