This experiment evaluates the zootechnical performance, yield of cuts, carcass composition, and intake of metabolizable energy, lysine, and methionine + cystine in male broilers from 21 to 42 days of age fed diets based on whole and ground grain sorghum and corn. A total of 112 birds of the Cobb 500 lineage were divided into 28 cages (four animals per cage) in a completely randomized design with four treatments and seven replications. Treatments consisted of diets based on ground corn and soybean meal (control, T1), ground sorghum and soybean meal (treatment 2, T2), whole grain sorghum and soybean meal (treatment 3, T3), and the diet T3 separated in feeders in the fractions (a) whole grain sorghum and (b) concentrate containing the other ingredients of the mixed feed (free choice feeding) (treatment 4, T4). The variables feed intake, body weight, feed conversion, viability, breast, drumstick and thigh yield , bromatological composition of breast and drumstick + thigh, and daily intakes of metabolizable energy, lysine and methionine + cystine were studied. The whole grain sorghum in diets is viable, contributes to reducing factory and logistics costs in the poultry industry, and promotes the same results of zootechnical performance, yields, and bromatological composition of cuts when compared to diets with ground corn and sorghum. Diets with whole grain sorghum in the free choice feeding system may be a viable alternative because birds sought to meet their daily needs for metabolizable energy and digestible amino acids even in short periods of adaptation to the diets, as demonstrated in the experiment. The aim of this experiment was to evaluate the growth performance, yield cuts, carcass composition and metabolizable energy intake, lysine and methionine + cystine in male broiler chickens, 21 days to 42 days, with different diets based on sorghum grain, ground grain sorghum and corn. 112 Cobb 500 strain of birds divided into 28 cages with four birds per cage were used in a completely randomized design with four treatments and seven repetitions: control group (T1) containing: a diet based on ground corn and soybean meal ; Treatment 2 (T2) with a diet based on ground sorghum and soybean meal; Treatment 3 (T3) with ground sorghum grain and soybean meal and treatment 4 (T4) with T3 in separate feed troughs in fraction (a): sorghum grain fraction and (b) concentrate containing the other feed ingredients properly mixed system (libre choice). Were studied, feed intake (FI); Body weight (BW); feed conversion rate (FCR); Viability (V); breast yield (BY); thigh (T) and drumstick (D); chemical composition of pectoris (CP) and thigh with drumstick (TD); daily intakes of metabolizable energy (ME), lysine (L) and methionine + cystine (MC). These variables were subjected to analysis of variance (ANOVA) and treatment means compared to each other by the Scott-Knott test (P <0.05). We conclude that the use of sorghum grain in diets is feasible and contributes to reduce manufacturing and logistics costs in the poultry industry and promotes the same results of growth performance, yield and chemical composition of cuts compared to diets with corn and sorghum ground. The strategy of feeding the birds in the free choice system with sorghum whole grain separated and concentrated at the feeder in the period 21-42 days of age, demonstrates a high degree of capacity for self regulation of poultry intake of energy and protein.
The study aimed to investigate, through the literature, the historical evolution and perspectives of the humanization process of care during childbirth. This is a bibliographic research, in which two databases were searched, namely: SciELO and LILACS, with national publications in the last 10 years. Fourteen scientific articles were analyzed using articles published in Portuguese as inclusion criteria; full articles and articles published and indexed in the aforementioned databases in the period from 2012 to 2022. As a result, it became evident that the humanization of childbirth is very current and still occurs as a reaction to several procedures performed without indication, requiring efforts to all the subjects involved, seeking to guarantee the woman quality and comprehensive care, which requires from all the actors involved with health care efforts to abolish aggressive behavior. It was concluded that the movement for the humanization of childbirth shows that the issue of birth is also the responsibility of the government and, given the current problems such as those related to the infrastructure weaknesses of the health network in Brazil, it is also configured as a health issue public.
