Massive multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) systems are a core technology designed to achieve the performance objectives defined for 5G wireless communications. They achieve high spectral efficiency, reliability, and diversity gain. However, the many radio frequency chains required in base stations equipped with a high number of transmit antennas imply high hardware costs and computational complexity. Therefore, in this paper, we investigate the use of a transmit-antenna selection scheme, with which the number of required radio frequency chains in the base station can be reduced. This paper proposes two efficient transmit-antenna selection (TAS) schemes designed to consider a trade-off between performance and computational complexity in massive MIMO systems. The spectral efficiency and computational complexity of the proposed schemes are analyzed and compared with existing TAS schemes, showing that the proposed algorithms increase the TAS performance and can be used in practical systems. Additionally, the obtained results enable a better understanding of how TAS affects massive MIMO systems.
This study was conducted to serve as a basis for establishing a stable production of proso millet on the rotational paddy-upland field by looking out the physicochemical and moisture characteristics of soil and the growth characteristics of proso millet by ridge width. Plant height showed Manhongchal was the smallest 71.3 cm in 240 cm wide of ridge in the first year, Ibeakchal was the highest 69.7 cm in 60 cm wide in the second year, Hwanggeumchal was the highest 72.8 cm in 60 cm wide in the first year. The retention time of the excess water in the soil during cultivation was extended wider the width of ridge. The variation width of the water content was higher by the wider the width of ridge. Yield components showed the longest ear length were 35.1 cm of Manhongchal, 34.8 cm of Ibeakchal in 60 cm wide of ridge in the first year. As the width of ridge extended, ear weight of all variety increased. 1,000 seed weight of the 60 cm wide of ridge was Manhongchal 6.8%, Ibeakchal 46.2% heavier than the 240 cm wide of ridge. Yield showed Manhongchal 221, Ibeakchal 223, Hwanggeumchal 225 kg․10a -1 in 60 cm wide of ridge in the first year. The similar pattern of amount showed Manhongchal 278, Ibeakchal 221, Hwanggeumchal 200 kg․10a-1 in 60 cm wide of ridge in the second year. This showed Manhongchal 103%, Ibeakchal 119%, Hwanggeumchal 85.2% was more than the 240 cm wide of ridge.
-An SRF plant which can produce 100 ton/month of SRF, one of the largest manufacturing plants in Korea, was investigated in this study. The actual operated SRF yield at 21.7 % that showed a lower yield than expected; originally designed value was 25.0%. The cause of these results was the difference between characteristics of MSW applied to this plant originally and that which was actual incoming. The MSW led to decrease the separation efficiency of the mechanical treatment process. Thus, each element of the facility was modified. After modification, the SRF yield increased to 30.9%, whereas the physico-chemical properties of SRF were satisfied with domestic standard of SRF regardless of modifying MT facilities.
