Romantic relationship is a common phenomenon in adolescents. 112 of 263 adolescents aged 16-17 years old in this study had experienced in romantic relationship, 30 of them were breakup. This romantic breakup was positively correlated with anger (ρ = 0.64). The study aims to test the anger management in adolescents behind romantic breakup through Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT). A single subject design was used with five participants. Data was collected by questionnaire which was adapted from BPAQ, then it was analyzed by using descriptive statistic. SFBT was conducted once a week for four meetings. The result revealed a significant decreased of anger and increased of anger management ability in adolescents who were in romantic breakup. About how anger management was established through SFBT will be discussed in this current research.
University student is the next generation of nation that must have a good character, so must be avoided from narcissistic and aggression. The purpose of this study was to explore the phenomenon and to test the relations. Amazing results about the profile of Indonesian students about narcissistic. A study in Surabaya showed 123 (38%) of 321 university students are including in narcissistic. The results of this study also show low correlation between narcissistic and aggression (r = 0.458), this is contrary to previous studies. Aggression in the students was dominated on verbal aggression based on the average questionnaire score (2.96) on a scale 1-5. On the other hand, physical aggression has the lowest average (2.24). Nevertheless, the problems of both narcissistic and aggression are equally important to get particular attention from guidance and counseling unit in university.
Counselor is one of the major components for successful learning in school, therefore it is important to avoid either narcissistic or aggression inside counselor personality. The purpose of this study is to explore the phenomena and to test the relations. The subjects were counselor candidate in university aged 20-22 years old (M = 20,73). The result shows that 43 of 169 prospective counselor in university executed narcissistic personality disorder (NPD), then it correlated with aggression (r = 0.673). Cognition factor is very influential in the development of NPD. This is a serious problem in counselor education's sphere, further research needs to prepare appropriate intervention for reducing either narcissistic or aggression in counselor education.
Berbagai dampak psikologis di masyarakat akibat Covid-19 merupakan tantangan bagi para ahli psikologi untuk menerapkan teori ke dalam praktik-praktik terapi. Berbagai teori pendekatan terapi, strategi, teknik menyajikan berbagai asumsi kemanjurannya dalam mengatasi problema psikologis masyarakat sebagai akibat wabah ini.Hasil penelitian mendeskripsikan bahwa: (a) Pandemi ini memicu gangguan emosional, perilaku, bahkan gangguan fisiologis. Permasalahan psikologis yang ditemukan dari analisis artikel antara lain: yaitu stres, kecemasan, gejala depresi, insomnia, kemarahan, ketakutan global, stigmatisasi, obsesif kompulsif, psikosomatis, serta bias kognitif. (b) Merujuk pada berbagai persoalan itu para penulis artikel ini menerapkan terapi-terapi yang meliputi: psikodinamika, terapi perilaku, terapi kognitif perilaku, terapi client centered, mindfulness therapy, terapi naratif. Sedangkan strategi ataupun teknik terapi yang ditemukan dari analisis artikel ini meliputi: asosiasi bebas, coping stress, disensitisasi, narasi, cognitive restructuring, serta modeling perilaku.
Tujuan dari penyusunan artikel ini adalah menjabarkan problematika dan faktor penyebab ketidakefektifan supervisi konseling, serta memberikan sejumlah alternatif solusi bagi problematika tersebut. Artikel ini menggunakan metode studi literatur pada berbagai artikel jurnal dan buku terbaru yang dinilai paling relevan dalam menjawab tujuan tersebut. Hasil dari artikel ini memperlihatkan bahwa: 1) Pelaksanaan supervisi konseling lebih bersifat administratif dan belum mengarah pada ranah klinis, 2) banyak sekolah yang belum menjadwalkan secara sistematis terkait proses evaluasi dan supervisi pada layanan yang telah dilaksanakan, 3) banyak supervisor layanan BK yang tidak berlatar belakang BK, 4) keenganan pihak kepala sekolah atau pimpinan pendidikan untuk belajar dan memahami layanan BK di sekolah, 5) minimnya instrument supervisi konseling yang akurat sesuai dengan konteks di lapangan. Sedangkan untuk alternatif solusi meliputi: 1) menyelenggarakan pelatihan supervisi konseling dari praktisi dan akademisi BK khususnya bagi pengawas/supervisor dan kepala sekolah, 2) perlunya pengembangan model dan instrumen supervisi konseling yang kredibel, 3) forum Musyawarah Guru Bimbingan dan Konseling (MGBK) harus memberikan workshop berkaitan dengan paradigma supervisi konseling pada guru BK, 4) secara bertahap para pengawas/supervisor dan konselor perlu mengubah pola supervisi dari sebatas administrasi menjadi supervisi klinis, 5) melakukan pelatihan dan supervisi kelompok sebagai alternatif pelaksanaan supervisi terbimbing.
