Air-Conditioning of non-Chloro Flour Carbon (AC of non-CFC)) is one of the products categorized as green product. In this context, consumer will consider ecological knowledge as a one of an importance variable in influencing the buying process of this product. Moreover, functional and emotional attribute are next variables as part of product attributes considered importance by consumer in deciding to buy the product. This study investigated the influence of ecological knowledge and product attributes (functional and emotional attributes) on attitude and intention to buy the product. Convenience sampling technique was used to collect 200 consumers who intend to buy AC of non-CFC in Surakarta, Indonesia. Structural equation model was chosen to elaborate the linkage among of variables. The result indicates that attitude toward green product is positively influenced by ecological knowledge. Besides that, functional attribute and emotional benefit were found to influence the intention to buy this product. In this study, the results were not significant, also discussed. Furthermore, the study also revealed the implications both from theoretical and practical aspects, as well as the possibility to do the advance studies.
Purpose This paper aims to explain the relationship between product quality, price and convenience with a positive attitude and intention to buy traditional food. In addition, it also aims to explain the role of the product type in moderating the relationship between these variables. Design/methodology/approach Samples were taken non-randomly, consisting of 500 snack food buyers and 500 restaurant food buyers. Some of the places chosen for sampling include Paragon Mall, Solo Grand Mall, Matahari Mall, Hartono Mall or other places in Surakarta-Indonesia, where people spend time relaxing. Furthermore, multiple structural equations model (multi group SEM) is a statistical method used to explain the relationship between the conceptual variables. Findings Some of the findings are as follows: before the product as a moderator, price and quality are the variables that influence the positive attitude and the intention to buy, while the convenience is the variable found not affecting both the positive attitude and the intention to buy. After the product type as a moderator, for snacks, the test results indicate that the price, product quality and convenience are the variables that affect the positive attitude but do not affect the intention to buy. For restaurant food, test results indicate that only prices and qualities affect positive attitudes, whereas convenience is found not to affect positive attitudes. Furthermore, only price and quality affect the intention to buy, while convenience is found not to affect the intention to buy. Originality/value This paper underlines that the type of product is a moderating variable in the buying behavior process of traditional foods. Regarding its role as a moderator variable, the relationships between variables that are conceptualized can be explained in detail, along with their significance.
In this study, the objective is focused to explain the relationship between the three independent variables (price fairness, green brand quality and green risk) and Words of Mouth (WOM), which is mediated by the satisfaction and trust. Sample is taken as many as 200 visitors at the Mall in Surakarta -Indonesia, who had the intention to buy liquid edge display (LED) screen TV. Of all the questionnaires returned, there are 12 questionnaires that cannot be used. By using Generalized Structured Component Analysis, the results indicate that the satisfaction and trust is significantly influenced by the price fairness, green brand quality and green risk. Also found that WOM is significantly influenced by the trust. Furthermore it is found also that WOM is not influenced by the price fairness and green brand quality and it is found too that WOM is not influenced by satisfaction.
This study discusses the relationship between lifestyle and individual preferences in choosing local or foreign brands. The sample consisted of 250 people, taken randomly through surveys in several public places in Surakarta - Indonesia, including the department stores, traditional markets, or other public areas, where many people were there and were willing to become research participants. Furthermore, the collected data is processed using factor analysis to reduce lifestyle dimensions, and logistic regression analysis is used to explain the relationship between lifestyle dimensions and preferences in choosing a local brand or foreign brand, in this case represented by Wong Solo Grilled Chicken (WSGC) or Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC).The test results indicate 13 dimensions of lifestyle, and only 5 dimensions are significantly related to brand preference: (1) individuals who have a fashion consciousness lifestyle tend to choose KFC rather than WSGC, (2) individuals with health consciousness lifestyles tend to choose WSGC rather than KFC, (3) individuals with leadership lifestyles tend choosing KFC rather than WSGC, (4) individuals with attentiveness lifestyle tend to choose WSGC rather than KFC, and (5) individuals with extroversion lifestyles tend to choose KFC rather than WSGC. This study also discusses the implications of studies related to the contribution of theory, practitioners, and possibilities for future studies
