Introdução: no final de dezembro de 2019, houve um surto de uma doença emergente (COVID-19) devido a um novo coronavírus, chamado SARS-CoV-2, que começou em Wuhan, na China, disseminando-se globalmente como pandemia. O cenário crítico imposto pela tem impulsionado a busca por estratégias farmacológicas terapêuticas e profiláticas, como a ivermectina e hidroxicloroquina. Objetivo: evidenciar, por meio de análises empíricas e atuais, os riscos associados ao uso indiscriminado de ivermectina e hidroxicloroquina como terapêutica contra a COVID-19, ressaltando os efeitos de toxicidade destes medicamentos. Metodologia: trata-se de uma pesquisa descritiva do tipo revisão integrativa da literatura. A pesquisa foi realizada através do acesso online nas bases de dados National Library of Medicine (PubMed MEDLINE), Scientific Electronic Library Online (Scielo), Cochrane Database of Systematic Reviews (CDSR), Google Scholar, Biblioteca Virtual em Saúde (BVS) e EBSCO Information Services, no mês de agosto 2021. Resultados e discussão: de acordo com a ANVISA, ainda não há estudos conclusivos que aceitem a hipótese de que a ivermectina apresente eficácia no tratamento da COVID-19. Já a hidroxicloroquina, em relação ao seu mecanismo de ação, acredita-se que a hidroxicloroquina aja, sob infecção por COVID-19, impedindo a glicosilação terminal da enzima ACE2, que, por sua vez, atua como receptor de membrana para o SARS-CoV-2, podendo, então, impedir a ligação do vírus. No entanto, ainda não há contestação sobre a eficácia desses medicamentos sob a COVID-19, e, inclusive, há relatos de toxicidade orgânica relacionada ao uso indiscriminado destes medicamentos, associados a problemáticas como hemorragias, insuficiência renal, arritmias e até mesmo hepatite medicamentosa. Considerações finais: é de suma importância o papel do médico e, mais ainda, do farmacêutico clínico, que vai além do acompanhamento farmacoterapêutico a pacientes que fazem uso da polifarmácia.
Introdução: a mobilidade urbana é entendida como a capacidade cotidiana de deslocamento de pessoas e bens no espaço urbano de forma segura e em tempo considerado adequado. Recentemente, a situação pandêmica foi gradualmente amenizada e o plano de recuperação econômica e social foi colocado em pauta pelo governo durante o período pós-epidemia. Nessas circunstâncias, o sistema de transporte urbano desempenha um papel crucial no processo de recuperação social e econômica como garantia básica da cidade. Portanto, maior atenção deve ser dada aos impactos da pandemia de COVID-19 no sistema de transporte urbano, bem como no comportamento de viagem. Objetivo: evidenciar os impactos causados pela pandemia de COVID-19 na mobilidade urbana. Metodologia: trata-se de revisão narrativa da literatura, com estudos acoplados nas seguintes bases de dados: National Library of Medicine (PubMed MEDLINE), Scientific Electronic Library Online (Scielo), Cochrane Database of Systematic Reviews (CDSR), Google Scholar, Biblioteca Virtual em Saúde (BVS) e EBSCO Information Services. Resultados: alguns impactos sobre a mobilidade urbana puderam ser observados devido ao alto grau de contágio do novo coronavírus e, portanto, à necessidade de permanecer em casa e manter um distanciamento mínimo. São impactos a princípio sociais, econômicos ou ambientais, mas que apresentam forte relação com a mobilidade urbana. Em geral houve uma drástica diminuição da locomoção nas cidades, que se encontraram vazias, e há um temor com relação à volta às atividades normais à medida que o isolamento vai sendo flexibilizado. Considerações finais: a pandemia de COVID-19 provocou inúmeras mudanças na vida da população mundial. Na mobilidade urbana não foi diferente. Com o fechamento do comércio considerado não essencial, a suspensão de aulas e a instalação de regimes de teletrabalho, grande parte dos deslocamentos diários foram interrompidos e/ou modificados. Medidas como a instalação de políticas de subsídio do transporte público, de ampliação das ciclovias, de aplicação de ações de desestímulo do uso do transporte individual motorizado, de melhora na segurança pública e de circulação de pedestres e ciclistas etc., se mostraram urgentes durante a quarentena, não apenas para gerar condições mínimas para mobilidade ativa, mas também para melhorar a qualidade de vida da população como um todo.
O Biodiesel é um dos principais combustíveis alternativos, produzido a partir de óleos vegetais e animais. A lei 13.033 de 2014 dispõe sobre a adição obrigatória do biodiesel no óleo diesel comercial, fixando um valor mínimo de 12 % em 2020. A maior causa de não conformidade no óleo diesel é o teor de biodiesel, sendo necessária uma fiscalização intensiva a fim de evitar tal problema. Para isso, existem convênios entre instituições de pesquisa e a ANP (órgão regulamentador), aumentando o número de fiscalizações e coibindo as fraudes. Para a determinação do teor de biodiesel a ANP utiliza a técnica de análise em infravermelho médio (FTIR) que exige muitas amostras e uma calibração complexa, difícil de ser executada por todas as instituições de pesquisas. A metodologia titulométrica apresentada neste trabalho é de fácil execução, pois faz uso apenas de métodos clássicos, não necessita de amostras de referência assim como grandes quantidades de amostras. Foi sintetizado biodiesel a partir de óleo de soja, milho e sebo bovino, misturando-os com óleo diesel puro em concentrações conhecidas, analisando o índice de saponificação de cada um deles em comparação com o teor de biodiesel. Tal metodologia apresentou bons resultados na determinação do teor de biodiesel. Foi realizada uma comparação entre ambas as metodologias, onde além de ser de execução mais simples, a metodologia titulométrica mostrou ser factível a criação de um modelo teórico de comparação entre o índice de saponificação da amostra e seu teor de biodiesel, o que pode contribuir para que mais laboratórios estejam aptos a executar o procedimento de análise e assim aumentando a eficiência da fiscalização.
