Este artigo trata-se de uma discussão acerca da possibilidade de a educação física ensinar na escola de forma sistematizada sobre as habilidades socioemocionais. O objetivo central trata-se de apresentar a aplicação de uma unidade didática em 3 cidades da Paraíba, com 4 aulas envolvendo o conteúdo Jogo e sua relação com quatro habilidades socioemocionais: autocontrole, empatia, resiliência emocional e colaboração. Verificou-se que a aprendizagem da temática em estudo é possível, porém o contexto em que se deu as aulas, no período da pandemia da COVID-19, proporcionou muitas dificuldades, devido as aulas estarem em ensino remoto ou online, e sem poder ter contato físico direto. No entanto, considera-se que a educação física tem papel fundamental na abordagem das habilidades socioemocionais, considerando toda a especificidade da área.
Este trabalho apresenta um relato de experiência vivenciado durante um estágio obrigatório supervisionado da graduação em Educação Física no ano de 2017. O estágio foi realizado na Escola Municipal Laura Maia, localizada na cidade de Natal-RN. A experiência relatada tem dois objetivos centrais: uma principal de proporcionar aos alunos uma atividade extracurricular com o conteúdo Lutas; e a outra diz respeito a possibilidade de organização de projeto de extensão durante a graduação. O trabalho desenvolvido na escola foi possível devido a proatividade e criatividade do estudante que realizava o estágio na escola, pois a escola precisava de um projeto envolvendo o Judô especificamente. Contudo, pensando na possibilidade de mais conhecimento sobre vários tipos de Lutas o projeto sugerido pelo estagiário foi o de envolver 4 tipos de Lutas: Capoeira, Judô, Muai Thay e Taekwondo.
