RESUMOAlterações no ambiente provocadas pela urbanização podem favorecer o estabelecimento e proliferação de animais sinantrópicos. Estes podem ocasionar uma série de problemas sociais, econômicos e de saúde pública. Este estudo teve como objetivo analisar as notificações recebidas pelo Setor de Vigilância Ambiental no município de Divinópolis -MG, nos anos de 2011 a 2013, no que se refere a ratos, morcegos, pombos e cobras. No período avaliado foram registradas 1.261 notificações, sendo 1.107 (87,7%) relacionadas à ocorrência de ratos, 69 (5,5%) de morcegos, 64 (5,1%) de pombos e 21 (1,7%) de cobras.De modo geral, verificou-se um maior número de registros para as áreas centrais do município, com exceção dos morcegos e cobras. Os resultados evidenciam a relevância do problema especialmente no que se refere aos riscos à saúde da população, principalmente em função das doenças que podem ser transmitidas por ratos, pombos e morcegos.Palavras chave: Sinantropia. O abandono de animais domésticos como cães e gatos no Brasil tem se configurado como um hábito comum, ocasionando sérios problemas no âmbito da saúde pública, da economia e do bem-estar animal. O presente artigo teve como objetivo uma análise sobre esses animais no município de Divinópolis - MG, a partir de notificações do Setor de Vigilância Ambiental do município. O trabalho foi executado através de pesquisa documental nas fichas deste setor, nos anos de 2011 e 2012, referentes às ocorrências geradas por cães e gatos. Os dados obtidos foram computados e organizados em planilhas do programa Microsoft Excel. Nos anos de 2012 e 2013 registrou-se 3.836 ocorrências para cães e gatos, sendo 3.628 para os caninos e 208 para os felinos. Observou-se que as maiores porcentagens de notificações foram registradas para os cães, destacando-se a categoria "Cães Doentes” (38%, n = 1378), seguido por "Cães Abandonados" (17%, n = 617), que contabilizam juntas 55% do número total de registros (n = 1995). No que se refere aos gatos, verificou-se uma maior número de notificações para a categoria "Recolhimento de Ninhada" com 43% dos dados (n = 89), seguido por "Gato Doente" (19%, n = 40) e "Gato Abandonado" (17%, n = 35), o que contabiliza uma porcentagem total de 79% dos registros (n =164). Os resultados evidenciaram a relevância do problema referente à cães e gatos abandonados em Divinópolis – MG, sendo as medidas executadas pelo setor de Vigilância Ambiental fundamentais para o controle e minimização dessa situação.
As nascentes configuram-se como importantes sistemas para a manutenção do equilíbrio hidrológico e ambiental das bacias hidrográficas, estando presentes tanto nas áreas naturais, quanto nas urbanas. Este estudo teve como objetivo a identificação, georeferenciamento e análise macroscópica da qualidade ambiental das nascentes presentes na área urbana do município de Cláudio - MG, assim como a análise microbiológica da água. Para tanto, os impactos ambientais nas nascentes foram avaliados a partir da interpretação do Índice de Impacto Ambiental em Nascentes – IIAN, que considera treze parâmetros macroscópicos para avaliação e possibilita posteriormente o estabelecimento de classes que refletem a qualidade ambiental da nascente. A análise microbiológica da água foi realizada através do Teste do Substrato Cromogênico, que mostra a presença ou ausência de Coliformes Totais e Termotolerantes. Foram analisadas oito nascentes, sendo que em uma dessas os aspectos ambientais não puderam ser avaliados, pois tratava-se de uma região brejosa com afloramento difuso d’água. Os resultados evidenciaram que a maioria das nascentes avaliadas se encontravam em avançado estado de degradação. Nenhuma delas foi classificada “Ótima”, uma se enquadrou como “boa” (classe B) e as demais foram enquadradas como “razoável” (Classe C, n = 3), “ruim” (Classe D, n = 1) e por fim, “péssima” (Classe E, n = 2). Verificou-se que a cor da água (n=7), falta de proteção das áreas das nascentes (n = 6), degradação da vegetação (n=5) e o lixo no entorno das nascentes (n=5) foram os principais impactos negativos identificados. Os testes microbiológicos mostraram, em todas as nascentes e nos dois períodos avaliados, a contaminação por coliformes totais e termotolerantes. Tais resultados revelam o descaso do poder público e da própria sociedade em relação às nascentes presentes na área urbana do município e evidenciam a necessidade de medidas de recuperação e manutenção desses mananciais.
