International audienceThis article analyses Internet users’ participation and the ways in which it is framed by journalists, with a particular focus on the Live Blog format. It provides a case study of the online media coverage of Dominique Strauss-Kahn’s arrest in New York in May 2011, by the highly respected media Le Monde.fr. A lexicometric (statistical) and discourse (qualitative) analysis of two sets of corpora (Corpus 1 being composed of all the comments submitted by Internet users throughout the live blogging process and Corpus 2 of the few which were finally published on the Live Blog) will highlight the nature and the various forms of audience participation as well as the ways in which they are framed by journalists. The article aims to investigate the representativeness of the published messages and the participative audience profile which journalists foreground within this media space of multiple voices
social apprehension of the Yellow Vest which is no longer cacophonic but polyphonic, taken in a dynamic of interacting narratives and counter narratives. This interaction is particularly obvious when the journalistic framework oscillates between a political and social reading and an episodic reading of a movement that disrupts the journalistic and political fields. Moreover, this social apprehension also reflects a collective in the process of being formed which knows how to use digitals lever to increase its visibility.
International audienceRecent findings on online journalism prompted the authors to launch an exploratory survey using semi-directive interviews in the newsrooms of nine French national dailies. The aim is to capture the complexity of a changing profession through the identity of web journalists, and to provide new perspectives for researchers. Three areas are investigated : the diverse profiles of journalists, work conditions and work organization, and the idealized or rationalized self-representation of the journalist.Las autoras del artículo, partiendo de constataciones en los escritos sobre las transformaciones de la profesión del periodismo en línea, llevaron a cabo un sondeo cualitativo a partir de entrevistas semidirigidas a nueve redacciones nacionales francesas. Su propósito era captar la complejidad que está en juego en las transformaciones de la profesión por medio de la identificación del periodista Web, y de esta manera proponer vías de reflexión. Para lograrlo, analizaron tres ejes : la diversidad de los perfiles profesionales de los periodistas, las condiciones y organización del trabajo y la representación idealizada o razonada de la figura del periodista.Partant des constats de la littérature sur les transformations des métiers du journalisme en ligne, les auteures ont mené une enquête qualitative par entretiens semi-directifs auprès de neuf rédactions nationales françaises. Journalism and Platforms: From Symbiosis to Dependency - Introduction
Cet article propose une analyse des pratiques de production de contenus et d’écriture journalistique à travers un dispositif particulier qui s’est fortement développé au cours des derniers mois sur les sites d’information : la couverture-live. Cette étude entend décortiquer le dispositif particulier de fabrication et diffusion de l’information plus particulièrement sur la plateforme live dédiée du monde.fr pendant l’affaire DSK (couverture pendant 40 heures générant 800 messages). Cette étude met en évidence les spécificités de ce type d’écriture journalistique et les processus de construction de l’événement médiatique. Ces analyses nous conduiront à expliciter les formes de mise en scène du locuteur (le journaliste dans son rapport aux sources et à l’événement) et les processus de (co)construction de l’information avec le lecteur et les sources intégrées au dispositif.
