INTRODUCCIÓN La ureteritis quística, es una enfermedad benigna poco frecuente que afecta al uréter y la pelvis renal. Suele aparecer en mujeres de mediana a avanzada edad tras una urolitiasis crónica o infecciones recurrentes del tracto urinario. REPORTE DE CASO Paciente femenina de 54 años de edad con antecedente de infecciones de vías urinarias a repetición, absceso renal y litiasis, resuelto seis meses antes. Se utilizó ureteroscopio semirrígido Storz de 9,5 fr, con láser de holmio fibra lumenis para ablación de ureteritis quística. Paciente con evolución satisfactoria hasta la fecha, con seguimiento por ultrasonidos. CONCLUSIÓN La paciente en estudio, se logró resolver por ablación láser, sin embargo, cabe destacar que en casos severos hay que considerar la nefroureterectomía o ureterectomia segmentaria como resolución definitiva.
