Quality of life is a broad and complex construct. World Health Organization refers to it as an "individual's perception of their position in life (…) in relation to their goals, expectations, standards, and concerns". Reduced visual functions have a negative impact on the overall individual's functioning. Difficulties in accessing visual information and problems in orientation and mobility create significant limitations in performing daily activities and lead to diminished opportunities for education, work, social participation, and leisure. Limited participation in the aforementioned areas with lower social interactions have a negative impact on the individual's quality of life. However, it is unclear whether this construct of people with visual impairment is compromised due to reduced ability to perform daily activities or due to difficulties in establishing social interactions. Objectives. In an effort to indicate the consequences of visual impairment on quality of life, the goal of this research was to determine the objective quality of life in adults with different visual status when controlling the age. Methods. The Comprehensive Quality of Life Scale was used to evaluate the quality of life. The sample consisted of 175 people - 92 participants with visual impairment and 83 participants without structural or functional problems in the visual system. Results. Results of eight one-way ANCOVAs indicated a significant effect of visual status on Objective quality of life in total (p < .001) and on its four domains: Material well-being, Health, Productivity, Place in Community. Conclusion. The effects of different visual status on the observed construct revealed when age as a variable is controlled.

Fakultet za specijalnu edukaciju i rehabilitaciju ** SANI OPTIK d.o.o., Beograd Samoefikasnost se definiše kao verovanje osobe u sopstvene kapacitete, koje određuje njena osećanja, razmišljanje, reagovanje u određenom kontekstu i utiče na samomotivaciju. Nastavnici sa višim stepenom samoefikasnosti su motivisaniji, istrajniji u radu, imaju više samopouzdanja, prihvataju i primenjuju nove metode rada i pokazuju viši nivo spremnosti za prihvatanje učenika sa smetnjama u razvoju u svoje razrede. Doživljaj samoefikasnosti kod studenata koji se školuju za nastavničke profesije može da utiče na spremnost za budući rad. Cilj istraživanja je bio da se utvrdi kako studenti specijalne edukacije i rehabilitacije opažaju samoefikasnost u pogledu veština koje su važne za inkluzivno obrazovanje. Zanimalo nas je u kojim se 1 Rad je proistekao iz projekata "Kreiranje protokola za procenu edukativnih potencijala dece sa smetnjama u razvoju kao kriterijuma za izradu individualnih obrazovnih programa" (179025) i "Socijalna participacija osoba sa intelektualnom ometenošću" (179017), čiju realizaciju finansira Ministarstvo prosvete, nauke i tehnološkog razvoja Republike Srbije.

Sexuality represents one of the basic dimensions of human existence, which is channelled through sexual and gender identification and role, sexual orientation, eroticism, emotional commitment, satisfaction, and reproduction. Sexuality is also linked to many significant health problems, especially in the area of reproductive and sexual health. Sexual health is the condition of physical, emotional, mental, and social wellbeing that is linked with sexuality. Knowledge about sexual health, contraception and selection of contraceptives, and the risk of sexually transmittable diseases is not only relevant for individuals? sexuality; it?s also important for encouraging the use of health services and other forms of support that are necessary to protect youth from sexually transmittable diseases and the maintenance of sexual and re-productive health. When it comes to sexuality and care of reproductive and sexual health, some groups are especially vulnerable. Bearing in mind the specific conditions women with disabilities grow up in and their dependence on assistance and support from other people, satisfying their needs for partnership, sexuality, and parenthood becomes unattainable for many, or it takes place under the control of professionals or family members. In this context, people with visual impairments are part of a vulnerable group, acknowledging that visual impairment leads to limitations in everyday life, autonomy, and quality of life to its full potential. The purpose of this article is to describe the phenomena of sexuality and sexual health among people with visual impairments, and to point out the existing international and national normative frameworks relevant to the sexual health of people with disabilities. Existing legislative acts acknowledge the right to a normal sexual life, as well as to the care and maintenance of the sexual health of people with disabilities. However, there are many obstacles and limitations that hamper the practical application of these rights: health issues, communication problems, lack of privacy, people?s acceptance of the inhibition of their own sexuality, or their acceptance of the labelling and normalisation of their situation. Even considering the existence of the regulation, the system of support for maintaining and improving the sexual and reproductive health of women with disabilities is not developed enough. The lack of literature relating to this topic shows that its importance is not recognised enough among the relevant actors, including organisations that advocate for people with disabilities. Realising the existing general legal framework requires the will of policymakers, who could enact and implement specific bylaw regulations, as well as activating the societal actors relevant to this field.
