This paper describes the use of an inexpensive smartphone's magnetic sensor to measure magnetic field components (B x , B y and B z ) induced by current wires in magnetostatic experiments. The variable parameters used to measure the magnetic sensor's capabilities were: the geometrical shapes of the wire, current flow, and the distance between wire and observation point. The experimental results are in good agreement with the results obtained from calculations using an analytical and numerical approach. In addition, the 2D vectors and magnitude of the magnetic field have been successfully illustrated. This study confirmed that the inexpensive smartphone's magnetic sensor had a good ability to accurately measure the components of a magnetic field in a magnetostatic experiment, which is especially suitable for undergraduate students.
Today, the attitudes and behavior of Indonesian students are declining. Schools as a component of character building have an important task in inculcating morals, ethical values, noble character, and strong and tough characters. This study was conducted to analyze the implementation of character education in Indonesia. The qualitative research using an ethnographic approach was used in this study on the implementation of character education in elementary schools. A total of 115 participants were interviewed at the school, including principals, teachers, extracurricular coaches, parents, and students. Observation, interviews, and documentation were used as the research instrument. From the results of this study, it was found that character education was very much needed in learning. The character education that was implemented in the elementary school sample includes religion; discipline; responsibility; leadership; tolerance; cooperation; love cleanliness; neatness; courtesy; perseverance; bravery; self-confidence; economical; independence; honesty; acceptance diversity; nationalism; Justice; creativity; and reward achievement. This study also described the character education strategies applied in elementary schools, namely, exemplary; habituation; school climate conditioning; integration in learning across all subjects; and integration through extracurricular activities. This preliminary research was conducted to find information on learning media that teachers and students want in online learning. The qualitative descriptive research method is applied in this study. The study was conducted in August 2021. The study was conducted in an elementary school in both urban and rural areas. A total of 105 people were interviewed at the school, including teachers and students. The data collection technique was carried out through a survey using a google questionnaire form which was divided into 2 forms, namely forms for teachers and students. The findings of the teacher survey indicate that learning media is needed to provide students with a realistic picture of phenomena in online learning. By providing interactive learning media, students feel it will be easier to understand the material than just being explained or given assignments. On the other hand, the results of student questionnaires also indicate that they want learning media in the online learning process. learning media that can convey the topic so that students can see the phenomenon.
This research aims to study whether it is necessary to use online media in mathematics learning arithmetic operations. The research method used in this study is research with a Quasi Experiment research design. The design chosen by the researcher is the nonequivalent control group design. This research was conducted on grade IVA students of SD Negeri 2 Tomohon divided into two groups: the experimental group collecting 13 children and the control group getting 13 children. The experimental group was approved to use online media (video), while the control group learned to use card media. This research data collection techniques were written tests in pre-test and post-test. Testing the hypothesis using the Independent Sample t-test obtained a significance value of 0.029 < 0.05. The results of the analysis of the t-test got the value of t-count = 2.330 > t-table = 2.064. H_0 rejected is intended a difference in the average learning outcomes of grade IVA mathematics at SD Negeri 2 Tomohon. The average learning outcomes of groups of students who use online media are higher than those required by using number card media. Based on these results, it can be concluded that online media influences mathematics learning in the arithmetic operations of Tomohon 2 Elementary School students.
