El presente estudio tiene como objetivo principal desarrollar una versión adaptada de la Escala de Ideología de Género (EIG) para adolescentes a partir de la original española de 12 ítems para adultos. Inicialmente se ha analizado por docentes y psicólogos si todos los ítems de la versión española se adaptan a las características culturales y lingüísticas de la población adolescente colombiana, de tal forma que el instrumento sea fácilmente comprensible para su aplicación en estas edades. Posteriormente se han verificado las propiedades psicométricas de todos los ítems, eliminando aquellos cuyas propiedades no eran satisfactorias para ambos sexos, obteniéndose una versión final de 9 ítems con una confiabilidad para toda la muestra de =.763, donde el grupo de mujeres ha tenido una mejor confiabilidad que los varones (=.775 vs. =.734). Por otra, la confiabilidad ha sido superior en el grupo de 15 a 17 años en comparación con el de 12 a 14 años (=.779 vs. =.737). En cuanto a los valores de la EIG, las mujeres puntúan más alto que los varones en los dos grupos de edad, con diferencias significativas tanto en el rango de los 12 a 14 años (t=2.44, p<0.05) como en el rango de los 15 a 17 años (t=2.30, p<0.05). Al relacionar los valores de la escala con los puntajes de las variables socio demográficas, se encuentran correlaciones estadísticamente significativas con la edad (r =.130, p<0.05) y con el grado de estudios (r=.204, p<0.01).
El propósito del presente estudio fue desarrollar un instrumento que evalúe en adolescentes la adicción a internet y a los videojuegos. La muestra estuvo compuesta por 354 adolescentes (M = 13.75, DE = 1.89). El análisis factorial confirmatorio mostró índices de ajuste aceptables (CFI = 0.918, IFI = 0.922, NFI = 0.883, RMSEA = 0.059), el alfa Cronbach fue de 0.73. De acuerdo a los resultados, el instrumento es fiable y válido para evaluar la adicción a internet y adicción a los videojuegos en adolescentes.
El presente estudio aborda la relación existente entre la frecuencia de actividad física con las variables agresividad, impulsividad, internet y videojuegos. En la investigación participaron 254 adolescentes colombianos en edades comprendidas entre los 12 y 17 años (Md=14.18; Dt = 1.47). Se aplicaron tres instrumentos a saber, la Escala de Impulsividad Barratt para Niños (Bis 11-c), el Cuestionario de Agresividad de Buss & Perry (AQ) y el Cuestionario CAGE para Detección de Problemas de Internet y Videojuegos en Adolescentes. Los resultados señalan que existe una relación significativa entre la actividad física con el componente cognitivo de la impulsividad (rs=1.92, p<.001) y el uso de internet y videojuegos (rs =.142, p<.05). Asimismo se confirma una vez más las diferencias de género a favor de los hombres en la realización de actividad física en adolescentes (U=5555.0, p=.000). No se encontraron diferencias significativas en los grupos de edad (χ² (5) =7.42, p = .191), tampoco se hallaron correlaciones significativas con la agresividad, ni con los demás componentes de la impulsividad.
