Este artigo é resultado da pesquisa de Iniciação Científica da Faculdade de Educação da Universidade Federal do Amazonas, que teve como título: “Os Teóricos da Educação do Campo”. O estudo centrou-se nos principais autores/as teóricos/as referente à coletânea Por Uma Educação do Campo e outros, que tratam a Educação do Campo, dentre os quais se destacam: Arroyo (1999), Fernandes (1999), Caldart (2000), Molina (2004) e Benjamin (2000). O artigo está divido em 4 (quatro) pontos: 1) Breve histórico sobre a Educação do Campo; 2) Os Movimentos Sociais e a Educação do Campo; 3) Os/as Teóricos/as e a concepção da Educação do Campo; 4) Os/as teóricos/as e os pontos fundamentais para compreender a concepção da Educação do Campo. A pesquisa teve como foco o seguinte objetivo geral: Analisar os Teóricos que sustentam a concepção de Educação do Campo. Objetivos específicos são: 1) Estudar os referenciais teóricos da Educação do Campo; 2) Refletir sobre a concepção da Educação do Campo e os pontos convergentes. O procedimento metodológico da pesquisa teve como base a pesquisa bibliográfica de cunho qualitativo, centrada nos autores que vem discutindo os princípios, fundamentos epistemológicos e conceituais da Educação do Campo. A conclusão da pesquisa centrou nos estudos da temática da Educação do Campo e sua relação com a perspectiva dos Movimentos Sociais do Campo, considerando suas contribuições para a formulação de uma educação significativa e contextualizada para os sujeitos desse contexto. Assim, evidenciaram-se as concepções de Educação do Campo atribuídas pelos/as autores/as teóricos/as ao longo da pesquisa, bem como a contribuição dos Movimentos Sociais para a elaboração de propostas educacionais voltadas para a realidade do campo brasileiro.
