The Background of this research begins from the existence of a “Movement Record the City”. Movement which was initiated by Gresik Movie aimsto invite the Gresi community to participate in maintaining the sustainability of the city by recording anything that has artistic and historical value in the city of Gresik. Considering that many other things that continue to dissaper and change from the city of Gresik make the Gresik Movie community want to invite the public to preserve this beloved city. Before it’s too late and become the story, would that to answer the formulation issue in this study that was message contained in the documentary video “Movement Record the City” the work of Gresik Movie. A theory used n ths study s the theory of semiotics of the social codes of television John Fiske. Research method, the type of research used was qualitative descriptive study, the primary data source in the form of the original video “Movement Record the City” obtained from the Gresik movie youtube channel. The results showed that the meaning of the government Gresik more likely to use the ideology of capitalism, it is supported by the many of existing developments un the city of Gresik. But the government Gresik another thing about the ideology indeed Gresik cling to region, this is demonstrated by the many of development of the industrial sector and forget the religious development. The change in orientation of the community and the regional government of Gresik was criticalized and reminded of the way “the video was removed”. This disappearance represent the power of domination of business investors and industry players who are doing development in the industrial sector as well as bullying the religious culture of santri.Keyword: semiotic, ideology, culture
Tourism is the main sector to replace oil and gas from the Republic of Indonesia, therefore the government is focusing on managing tourism with a communitybased system and management. The Community Based Tourism (CBT) system is one of the tourism management solution systems that are expected to be able to develop the tourism potential of each region. In the CBT system, communities around tourist attractions are the determinants of the success of tourism development itself, because the community will be fully involved in planning, management and development. In Carang Wulung Village, Wonosalam Subdistrict, Jombang District, the application of CBT system has not been optimally implemented because the skills of the people in tourism management are still minimal, and government support is not optimal.
Tourism of a particular area that has been wrestled with local wisdom can become a tourism commodity in the field of promotion, that it can be sold as an attraction for a tourist attraction to the community. If a local wisdom is packaged in a form of tourism communication, it can be one of the elements of the formation of a local branding from a particular region. This research seeks to understand more about a local socio-cultural aphorism in the Carangwulung region, Jombang. Researchers wanted to know a complete and clear picture of a social phenomenon. Local wisdom in managing tourism in Carangwulung Village requires a strong commitment between various parties to obtain mutual welfare. Through the tourism management multileps model, effective communication is established in the management of tourism potential in Carangwulung Village. The bottom up system is run as a way to increase tourism based on local wisdom. Simultaneous elections will be held in Indonesia in 2018, one of which is theGovernor Election (Pilgub) of East Java to replace Pak Karwo and Gus Ipul. Candidateswho will compete in this East Java Pilgub are Gus Ipul (as incumbent), and Khofifah(formerly a social minister). Both candidates are both from the largest mass organization inEast Java, namely Nahdltul Ulama (NU). In relation to this background, the author wouldlike to examine about how Gus Ipul's political capital and strategy of communication in EastJava Pilgub 2018. This study uses case study because want to answer about how (how) in theformulation of research. By using different political communication strategies, of course theresults achieved by both candidates will be different. Gus Ipul used a defensive strategy tomaintain his position as an incumbent. By using his capital-capital (economic, social,cultural and symbolic) conversion, Gus Ipul seeks to mobilize the masses, most of whom areNU citizens.
