Studies about spreading of knowledge in nursing are recent. In order to contribute to the study of the nursing literature in Brazil, it was developed a model of instrument to analyse periodicals. The instrument was tested in a nursing periodical and it was found to be effective in stablishing who writes, what is written and even to relate the papers with present state of health and the historical evolution of the profession.

CONSIDERAÇÕES PRELIMINARESEm alguns Serviços Psiquiátricos como em muitos outros Serviços de Saúde, por contingências ligadas à atividade admi nistrativa, Os Serviços de enfermagem si tuam-se de modo tradicional quando, no ato de admissão de um paciente à en fermaria, antecipam a indicação da Uni dade do paciente, sem que lhe seja per mitido escolher o local que este prefe rIria flcar. Naturalmente esta decIsão, que Impõe caráter diretIvo ao relaciona mento com o recém admitido, tem sido observada pelos próprios enfermeiros, como um fator que pOderá interferir na relação inicial enfermeiro-paciente, no seu rapport.Certamente, esta preocupação levou os autores do presente trabalho a observa rem mais atentamente a situação de dis tribuição de vagas e admissões à essas vagas, no sentido de verificarem qual o comportamento dos pacientes quando percebiam a possibilidade de livremente escolherem o local e os seus companhei ros preferidos entre os internados. Ao observar o comportamento do paciente recém admitido, foi verificado que o mesmo assume algumas atitudes que identificam uma crise pós-admissão, ex pressa por algumas das características seguintes:• Sentir e queixar-se do abandono da família ;• Insistir para voltar imediatamente para casa ;• Tentar a fuga da enfermaria ;• Negar a doença;• Recusar os tratamentos, com mani festações agressivas.Vencida esta crise, que dura em média de 48 a 72 horas, o paciente é então rece bido, pelos companheiros que lhe obser vavam à distância e que agora passam
