Alexander Knebel studied Chemistry at the Leibniz University Hanover (Germany)a nd received his PhD in Physical Chemistry with Jürgen Caro in 2018. He conducted research with Jorge Gascon at the KAUST Catalysis Centre of the King AbdullahU niversity of Science Technology (Saudi Arabia). Afterwards he was ap ostdoctoral fellow at the Institute of FunctionalI nterfaces (IFG) with Christof Wçll at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) (Germany), where he recently became Junior Research Group Leader.I nh is research, he combines MOFs, COFs, porous liquids, and polymer mixed-matrix systems in thin-film gasseparation membranes.
An electrophoretic deposition approach was developed to fabricate a robust ordered mesoporous carbon nitride (MCN) coating for solid-phase microextraction. The large surface area, uniform pore diameter, in-built N-rich functional groups, and electron delocalization properties of MCN make it a promising adsorbent for SPME by π-π, hydrogen bonding and hydrophobic interactions between analytes and MCN.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
