Purpose. Foam rolling (Fr) is a known recovery method based on self-myofascial release. Detailed data on Fr to reduce muscle fatigue and enhance performance in futsal athletes are still limited. The study aimed to assess whether Fr was a suitable recovery method for futsal athletes to enhance performance and reduce their lactic acid concentration. Methods. A total of 30 male futsal athletes participated in this study. They were randomly divided into 2 groups: 15 subjects assigned to the experimental (Fr) group practised foam roller exercises, while 15 individuals assigned to the control group were given slow jogging recovery. Both groups completed pre-and post-recovery tests for anaerobic capacity and agility. Blood lactate was measured before the experiment, immediately after the tests, and immediately after recovery. A 2 × 2 repeated measures analysis of variance (ANOVA) was used to calculate each parameter results. Results. In the post-recovery lactate concentration, the independent t-test revealed a significant decrease between pre-and post-test values in the Fr group (p = 0.033). conversely, an increase in lactate between pre-and post-test measurements occurred in the control group (p = 0.058). Furthermore, ANOVA revealed significant time × group interactions (p = 0.002) and a significant main effect for group (p = 0.001). Conclusions. Fr after exercise-induced muscle fatigue had an effect on the recovery of elite futsal players by increasing the rate of blood lactate clearance. There was no increase in performance in 20-m sprint or agility (t-test).
Introduction: The evaluation of flexibility is important to coaches to assess their players' flexibility status, predict future performance, and even detect talented players. The aim of this research was to develop a new flexibility test to examine the forward split in athletes. Material and methods: In this study, 15 gymnasts, 10 Taekwondo athletes, 5 football players, and 10 karate athletes (20 males and 20 females) volunteered for this experiment and were evaluated in a common movement pattern, the forward split. In the experimental condition, participants performed the forward split on a mattress using infrared sensor technology (IST test), and, afterward, they performed the forward split on a mattress without infrared sensor technology (N-IST test). Two trials of this procedure were conducted. Results: For concurrent validity, no significant difference in the average distances of the anterior superior iliac spine (ASIS) from the mattress in Trials I and II was found between the IST and N-IST tests-p = 0.664 and p = 0.710, respectively. Conclusions: The findings of this study confirm the concurrent and construct validity of the IST test, which was created to measure the height of the ASIS from the mattress in a forward-split test. Thus, this test can be used by coaches, athletes, and sports scientists to improve and monitor the forward-split tests of athletes in training programs.
Abstract:Mathematics can be used as an approach to explaining several Islamic by interconnecting using conceptual and meta-mathematical foundations, thus producing integrated mathematics teaching materials. This study aims to describe the development of an integrated Introduction to Basic Mathematics textbook with Islamic values and then see student responses to the textbook. The type of research used is Research and Development (R&D) which refers to modified 4-D models. The instruments used are product validation sheets and response questionnaires. The data obtained were analyzed quantitatively and qualitatively. The results showed that the textbook Introduction to Basic Mathematics integrated with Islamic values was valid by the validators and very suitable for use by students with interesting categories. This finding can be the basis for the development of teaching materials by integrating Islamic values in Islamic universities.
This research aims to examine and analyze the influence of leadership behavior, promotion, and physical work environment on the performance of employees of PT. Pawnshop (Persero) Medan. This research method is descriptive quantitative. Population and research sample using saturated sampling technique. Data analysis techniques start from data compilation, data tabulation to the testing stage. The statistical method used is multiple linear regression analysis. The results showed that 89.3% of employee performance can be explained by independent variables and the remaining 10.7% is explained by other factors that have not been considered in this regression. In conclusion, simultaneously and partially leadership behavior, promotion, and physical work environment have a significant effect on the performance of employees of PT. Pawnshop (Persero) Medan. Keywords:Employee Performance, Physical Work Environment, Leadership Behavior, Promotion
