The collection cultures of oil-oxidizing microorganisms were screened for their ability to degrade oil at different temperatures (15 оС, 30 оС, 50 оС). As a result, 10 strains were selected that showed high activity at all studied temperatures.
The ability of consortia of thermotolerant oil-oxidizing microorganisms to utilize oil at elevated temperatures has been studied. At 35°C the degree of oil destruction was 55-87.3%, at 40°C - 54.8-64.3%, at 50°C - 55-73.2%.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
