The main aim of this research is to investigate social media addiction of university students. In line with this aim the comparisons were made between the levels of social media addictions of university students and their ages, sexes, daily usage time of social media, purpose of social media use and so on. The research was conducted as survey model and the data was collected from 1034 university students by using social media addiction scale consisting of 41 items and 4 factors (Occupation, Mood modification, Relapse and Conflict). The findings of the survey revealed that female students were more occupied with and received more emotional support from social media compared to male students. On the other hand male students found to be more conflicted with social media which shows that they were more negatively affected compared to females.

Social networks, where access is provided through mobile phones via the internet, have transformed our communication habits, while also paving the way for social media addiction. As social media addiction harms all areas of a person's life, this research has focused on identifying the addictions of young people who have not started their professional life yet. Considering that technology is involved in people's lives to different extents in different countries, country comparisons are considered important in digital addiction research. This study aims to compare social media addiction among university students from South Korea and Turkey. The "Social Media Addiction Scale" developed by Tutgun-Ünal and Deniz (2015) was used in this study conducted with 270 university students. Some of the findings obtained in studies using a comparative survey model are as follows: (a) social media addiction is low in both countries, (b) South Korean students' addiction was found at a higher level than those from Turkey, (c) students in South Korea are getting more emotional support from social media, (d) the addiction of South Korean students on conflict dimension was found higher, (e) students in Turkey communicate with their families via social media more than those in South Korea.

Dünya paralelinde sürdürülebilir kalkınma anlayışını ve yeşil büyüme modelini benimseyen Türkiye’nin sera gazı emisyonlarının ve çevre sorunlarının giderek artması karşısında çevreye duyarlı politika ve stratejilerin hayata geçirilmesinin önemi giderek artmaktadır. Bu çerçevede, bilim üreten ve yayan kurumlar olarak üniversitelerin sürdürülebilir bir dünyanın sağlanmasındaki sorumlulukları ve rolleri oldukça önemlidir. Bu çalışmada, Manisa Celal Bayar Üniversitesi’nin karbon ayak izini hesaplayarak kaynakların sürdürülebilir kullanımına ve küresel iklim değişikliği ile mücadelede yapılması gerekenlere dikkat çekmek ve geleceğin mimarı olan üniversitelerin sorumluluk ve rollerinin önemini ortaya koymak amaçlanmıştır. Bu kapsamda, Üniversitenin birincil karbon ayak izi IPCC Metodolojisi Tier 1 yaklaşımıyla hesaplanmış ve 2016 yılı için 8.953,906 Ton CO2 emisyonunda bulunduğu tespit edilmiştir.

In today’s environment, as the complexity of actual events develops, products become increasingly complicated. As a result, companies should collaborate to integrate disparate technologies while developing a product or service. Additionally, collaborating with the right supplier helps a company increase the flexibility, competitiveness, and profitability of its goods or services. The goal of this study is to look into the factors that influence supplier selection for speech recognition. Twelve sub-criteria for quality, affordability, maintenance, and adaptability are used to evaluate prospective providers. Two separate hybrid methodologies for finding the best supplier of an information technology product are presented. intuitionistic Fuzzy Due to the uncertainty of the data, VIKOR operates as the decision-making matrix and solves the issue by determining the ideal alternative for group utility using VIKOR. The second technique, Q-ROF TOPSIS, selects suppliers by utilizing q-rung orthopair fuzzy sets, which provides decision makers with greater expression flexibility than the majority of uncertainty-related strategies. To demonstrate the effectiveness of the recommended measures, a case study is conducted. The outcomes of various strategies are compared, as well as the associated advantages.
