This study aims to determine and analyse farmers' risk perceptions and risk management strategies in dairy farming. Data were obtained in 2014 (December) and 2015 (February and March) from face-to-face interviews with 96 dairy farmers in Yüregir and Saricam district of Adana province of Turkey. Factor analysis was used in data reduction to identify a small number of factors related to risk sources and risk strategies in this study. Then, multiple regression model was used to evaluate the influence of socio-economic characteristics and communication behaviour on the farmers' risk perceptions and risk management strategies using factor loadings. The results of this study show that the most important risk source that the farmers' perceive is variability in feed prices and risk management strategy that the farmers' perceive is take precautions to prevent disease. The results of factor analysis show that the risk scale consists of 8 factors explaining 70.24% of total variance. The internal consistency coefficient Cronbach Alfa of the scale is 0.808 and KMO is 0.732. The risk management scale consists of 6 factors explaining 67.78% of total variance. The internal consistency coefficient Cronbach Alfa of the scale is 0.775 and KMO is 0.746. According to the results, perceptions were farmer-specific, a number of socio-economic variables and communication behaviour are found to be related to risk and risk management. To improve risk management strategies is useful for farmers as well and might help them to avoid many risks and reduce losses.

The main purpose of this study was to measure farmers' sustainable agriculture perception and its determinants in Turkey based on a case study in Mersin Province. The data were collected from randomly selected 239 farmers in June 2017. The data set were gathered by using a structured questionnaire with Cronbach's alpha coefficient of 0.946. According to the result, farmers had favorable perception in issues related to sustainable agricultural practices such as protection of agricultural resources, negative effects of agrochemicals on human health and the environment, input application, crop rotation, minimum tillage etc. In addition, the study revealed that agricultural programs on TV and radio, credit use and cooperative partnership were factors that affected farmers' sustainable agriculture perceptions. The study investigated farmers' sustainable agriculture perception, not predict whether farmers will adopt sustainable agriculture practices or whether they did them. Hence, it is necessary that further research should be conducted to find out whether farmers are likely to do so or whether really they did them.

With their low calorie and rich nutrient content, citrus fruits are an important element of the daily diets of individuals living in Mediterranean countries. Although the origin of citrus fruits lies in Southeast Asia, today the Mediterranean Basin comes to the fore in terms of production and trade. In this study, the competitiveness of the countries in the Mediterranean Basin, which has a coast to the Mediterranean, in the world citrus trade between 2005-2019 was competitiveness demonstrated. for this research, Balassa's relative comparative advantages, revealed symmetric comparative advantage and Lafay indexes are used. As a result of the study, the rate of increase in the total production and exports of the can countries in the Mediterranean Basin is realized under the world average. However, the noticeable dynamic increase in the production and exports of the developing countries in the region ensures the continuity of the competitive power of the Mediterranean Basin. To increase the market competitiveness of the region, it is suggested that state policies make citrus production activities an important issue.
