ABSTRACT. The purpose of this study is to evaluate anthropometric parameters resul# ng from measurements by their sta# s# cal and mathema# cal processing. The study was conducted on a sample of 300 male subjects from three geographic regions of Romania: South (100 subjects), East (100 subjects) and Centre and West (100 subjects). The anthropometric data collected by 3D scanning of the le& and right foot were grouped into four samples (South, East, Centre-West and Total) and the sta# s# cal indicators of characteriza# on (arithme# c mean and standard devia# on) and sta# s# cal variables (the minimum and maximum values, the amplitude and the coeffi cient of varia# on) were calcuated for each varia# onal sequence of the 20 anthropometric parameters studied. To verify the working hypothesis that there were no signifi cant diff erences between le& and right foot, Student's t-test and the Fisher (F) test were used to verify the variants. Both tests have shown that there are no signifi cant diff erences between the le& foot and the right foot for most anthropometric parameters. Samples for the four groups studied were based on the average of anthropometric parameters of the right and le& foot. One-dimensional normal-size distribu# on for Foot Length (Lp) and Toe Girth (Pd) anthropometric parameters was verifi ed. In this respect, the limits of the frequency classes, the centre of the class and the rela# ve and absolute frequencies were established. This distribu# on is found in the commissioning of the shoe size series. For an op# mal fi t of the shoe, it is necessary to divide the size series into length and width classes. ABSTRACT. This study aims to analyze the plantar footprints based on biomechanical parameters obtained through plantar pressure measurements and to present an easy to use methodology for establishing the foot type in order to further suggest orthopaedic devices, such as customized soles and insoles. Using the RSScan pressure plate and the Footscan software, fine observations both on foot and on repartition of foot pressures are made. By analyzing the maximum pressures rd th obtained in this case study, the highest values were registered under 3 and 4 metatarsal bones, suggesting that the investigated subject has different arrangements of high pressures compared with the ones reported by other similar studies. The gait time has been analysed, resulting in a normal distribution of this parameter on each area of the foot. By comparing the results, the left foot has been demonstrated to be high arched. Acest studiu îºi propune sã analizeze amprentele plantare pe baza parametrilor biomecanici obþinuþi prin mãsurãtorile presiunilor plantare ºi sã elaboreze o metodologie uºor de urmat pentru stabilirea tipologiei piciorului, în vederea sugerãrii dispozitivelor ortopedice, cum ar fi tãlpile ºi branþurile personalizate. Folosind placa de presiune RSScan ºi software-ul Footscan sunt observate repartiþiile presiunilor la nivelul picioarelor. Prin analiza presiunilor maxime obþinute în acest studiu de caz, se poate observa cã cele mai mari valori au fost înregistrate sub oasele metatarsiene 3 ºi 4, sugerând astfel faptul cã subiectul investigat are zone de presiune ridicatã diferite, comparativ cu cele raportate de alte studii similare. A fost analizat timpul corespunzãtor efectuãrii unui pas, rezultând o distribuþie normalã a acestui parametru pe fiecare zonã a piciorului. Prin compararea rezultatelor, s-a demonstrat cã piciorul stâng este de tip picior scobit. Cette étude a le but d'analyser les empreintes plantaires à partir des paramètres biomécaniques obtenues par des mesures de pression plantaire et de développer une méthodologie facile à suivre pour établir la typologie du pied, en vue de recommander des dispositifs orthopédiques tels que les semelles et les premières personnalisées. SUMMARY.Poly(ether urethane) cationomers based on poly(oxytetramethylene), 4,4'-bibenzyldiisocyanate, N-methyldiethanolamine as chain extender, and acrylic acidpoly-(acrylic acid) as quaternization agent were synthesized. Pyrrole (15 wt.-%) was polymerized in films of the ionomer containing CuCI2. The films were characterized by dynamic mechanical analysis, thermogravimetry and differential scanning calorimetry.
