We discuss the positive definite solutions for the system of nonlinear matrix equations X − A * Y −n A I and Y − B * X −m B I, where n, m are two positive integers. Some properties of solutions are studied, and the necessary and sufficient conditions for the existence of positive definite solutions are given. An iterative algorithm for obtaining positive definite solutions of the system is proposed. Moreover, the error estimations are found. Finally, some numerical examples are given to show the efficiency of the proposed iterative algorithm.

In this paper, a mathematical model for lesser date moth is proposed and analyzed. The interaction between the date palm tree, lesser date moth, and natural enemy has been investigated. The impact of sex pheromone traps on lesser date moth is demonstrated. Some sufficient conditions are obtained to ensure the local and global stability of equilibrium points. The occurrence of local bifurcation near the equilibrium points is performed using Sotomayor’s theorem. Theoretical results are illustrated using numerical simulations.

In the present paper, the positive definite solutions for the nonlinear matrix equation

We investigate the nonlinear matrix equation −∑ =1 * − = , where is a positive integer and ∈ (0, 1], for = 1, 2, . . . , . We establish necessary and sufficient conditions for the existence of positive definite solutions of this equation. A sufficient condition for the equation to have a unique positive definite solution is established. An iterative algorithm is provided to compute the positive definite solutions for the equation and error estimate. Finally, some numerical examples are given to show the effectiveness and convergence of this algorithm.
