Abstract:We investigate the nonlinear matrix equation −∑ =1 * − = , where is a positive integer and ∈ (0, 1], for = 1, 2, . . . , . We establish necessary and sufficient conditions for the existence of positive definite solutions of this equation. A sufficient condition for the equation to have a unique positive definite solution is established. An iterative algorithm is provided to compute the positive definite solutions for the equation and error estimate. Finally, some numerical examples are given to show the effect… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
