This study examined whether responsibility attributions for self and partner behaviors differentially mediate the link between rejection sensitivity (RS), unstable self-esteem (USE), and relationship outcomes (i.e., violence and silencing the self, STS). Individuals in dating relationships in Turkey (N = 177) completed the measures of attributions for self and partner behaviors, RS, USE, violence, and STS. The results indicated that RS and USE had indirect effects on violence via attributions for partner behaviors. Attributions for self-behaviors mediated the relationship between RS together with USE and silencing the self-behaviors. Furthermore, USE was directly associated with silencing the self behaviors. The findings were discussed in terms of theoretical and practical implications as well as directions for future research.
Öz: Öğretmenler sınıf içerisinde tasarlanan programları uygularlar. Öğretmenlerin alan ve/veya o alanın öğretimine yönelik görüşleri programın uygulanma şeklinde belirleyici olabilir. Dolayısı ile öğretmenlerin görüşleri dersin işlenişine yönelik önemli ipuçları verebilir. Bu çalışmanın amacı bilişim teknolojileri ve yazılım dersi öğretmenlerinin kodlama eğitimine yönelik görüşlerini keşfetmektir. Bu çalışmada durum çalışması deseni kullanılmıştır. Çalışmanın katılımcılarını Batı Karadeniz Bölgesindeki bir ilden yirmi iki öğretmen oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmacılar tarafından oluşturulmuş yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formu vasıtasıyla katılımcılardan nitel veri toplanılmıştır. Görüşmeler sonucunda öğretmenlerin kodlama eğitimine yönelik olarak teknolojik, pedagojik ve alan bilgisi açısından çeşitli eksikliklerinin olduğu anlaşılmıştır. Öğretmenlerin blok tabanlı kodlama ortamlarına görece olarak daha hâkim oldukları fakat diğer ortamlara yeteri kadar hâkim olmadıkları görülmüştür. Öğretmenlerin ve öğretmen adaylarının eksikliklerinin giderilmesi için çeşitli önerilerde bulunulmuştur.
In his article, Greenberg (2009) classified justice research into four types. Basic research uncovers the nature and structure of justice; implication research examines relationships of justice with organizationrelevant phenomena; intervention research assesses the efficacy of initiatives designed to cultivate justice; and case study research describes anecdotal applications of justice initiatives. As he noted, the justice literature is predominantly comprised of basic and implication research, while little work has put into practice of the knowledge that has been gained from this research. As a result, very few examples of intervention and case study research exist.
The present study aims to test a model derived from a conceptual framework that attempted to explain negative interactions among supervisor-employee dyads from a Relative Deprivation Theory (RDT) and justice-related perspective. Employees' perceptions of fraternal (group) deprivation on part of females compared to males in their organizations were suggested to be related to their interpersonal and informational justice perceptions as well as their perceptions of supervisors' empathy. Employees' perceptions of justice and empathy, in turn, were suggested to be positively associated with overall supervisory commitment. Moreover, the moderating effects of employee gender on the proposed relationships were investigated. The data was collected from 114 employees who were enrolled in undergraduate classes in a Southwestern university in USA. The proposed model as well as the alternative models were tested by Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) technique using AMOS 6.0 software. The findings revealed that proposed mediated model was supported by the data for the independent variable of employee perceptions of "affective" relative deprivation for females in the organization and for the dependent variables of "affective supervisory commitment" and "continuance supervisory commitment". However, employees' gender did not have a moderating effect on the relationships in the mediated model that was supported by the data. The results are discussed in terms of their theoretical and practical implications as well as the suggestions for future research.
