ResumoA diversidade étnica é uma das bases para o trabalho da educação infantil visto que sua função sociopolítica se baseia no respeito, celebração e promoção das diferenças. Nesse sentindo, questionou-se o trabalho docente com relação à ausência ou reforço de preconceitos étnicos e estereótipos. Os objetivos foram analisar as aproximações e distanciamentos de um Centro Municipal de Educação Infantil (CMEI) com as Diretrizes Curriculares Nacionais para a Educação Infantil (DCNEI), para o trabalho com o tema diversidade étnica frente ao processo de formação pessoal e social da criança e identificar a visão dos professores em relação à importância do tema diversidade étnica para o processo de socialização da criança pequena no espaço da pré-escola. A pesquisa foi de cunho qualitativo e realizou-se um estudo de caso. Para análise dos dados utilizou-se o método de análise de conteúdo, os instrumentos para a coleta de dados foram a observação dirigida e a entrevista semiestruturada. Nos resultados, é evidente o reforço em sala de aula dos estereótipos consolidados na sociedade e ausência do trabalho docente a partir da temática, apesar da maioria confirmar sua importância para o desenvolvimento da criança. Ethnic diversity is one of the bases for the work of early childhood education as its sociopolitical function is based on respect, celebration and promotion of differences. In that sense, this questioned the teaching work in relation to that subject, in particular the absence or strengthen ethnic prejudices and stereotypes. The objectives were to analyze the similarities and differences of a particular Municipal Center for Child Education (CMEI) with the National Curriculum Guidelines for Early Childhood Education (DCNEI), to work with the theme of ethnic diversity in relation to the process of personal and social education of children and identify the views of teachers on the importance of ethnic diversity theme for the small child's socialization process in preschool space. The research was qualitative in nature and a case study was carried out. Data analysis used the content analysis method; the instruments for collecting data were directed observation and semi-structured interview. The results, strengthening classroom consolidated stereotypes in society and lack of teaching from ethnic diversity though most confirm their importance to the development of children. Entretanto, em meio a uma pandemia, a prática docente imergiu ao ambiente virtual como a principal via de ensino. Os objetivos dessa pesquisa foram analisar o uso das plataformas digitais pelos profissionais de educação em Manaus; identificar as mudanças na docência em ambiente virtual, e verificar o envolvimento das instituições na capacitação e suporte aos docentes frente ao cenário pandêmico. A pesquisa teve como instrumentos utilizados a observação dirigida e o questionário. Os resultados evidenciam a necessidade de maior apoio e capacitação no ensino remoto atual.
